.... Cook books.

I have hardly any fucking time to cook, but they look so nice on my shelf!

Curious to see what you're all hoarding... Grin

Recorders ( various sizes) 11 at the last count!
2 sopraninos
3 sopranos
3 altos
2 tenors
1 bass

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 11/01/2021 00:05

Books. DH and I both hoard them. We have so many that we once made a book igloo big enough to sit in. Kindle has slowed the influx but there are still loads.

elfycat · 11/01/2021 00:11

Fabric
Yarn
needles and hooks for yarn
Decent supermarket shopping bags (I love buying new ones in new patterns)
Notebooks and pens
More notebooks than that (DH found a stash yesterday, In my defence I have a MA in creative writing so I SHOULD have notebooks)
Buttons and beads, colour coordinated in ice cream tubs, for art stuff
Contact lenses. I've not been bothering on lockdowns. I've reduced my order to the minimum now.

Xmascardcrap · 11/01/2021 00:14

Items of clothing 4 sizes too small. I've put on weight.

SnappedAndFartedInMaui · 11/01/2021 09:17

@LST

Plastic bags. They multiple in my drawer
Same here. They seem to breed, somehow!
RealisticSketch · 11/01/2021 09:23

Building tools. The only thing I don't have is the white van. I'm rubbish at remembering their names, but I'm like that with people, streets and songs too. In my defence I am building a house so I'm using the tools.

Zenithbear · 11/01/2021 09:25

Jackets - I wear them all
Nail polish - I wear it every day.
Colouring books and felt pens - keeps me busy during lock downs.

flowery · 11/01/2021 09:29

Notebooks. And more notebooks. And a few more.

At the moment I have far too many clothes because all I wear is leggings and hoodies. But that’s temporary.

Scarby9 · 11/01/2021 09:31

Mugs.

And not just mugs. Special mugs with memories.

Yest I only use 3 favourite mugs day to day on rotation.

SnappedAndFartedInMaui · 11/01/2021 09:41

Plastic bags
Bags for life (I know, kind of defeats the object)
Eyebrow tweezers (being out on my way somewhere important realising my brows look straggly and have no tweezers on me, but oh look! There's a Boots/Savers/Superdrug on my bus route there. So I just pop in and get some...and so the cycle begins again)

SnappedAndFartedInMaui · 11/01/2021 09:42

But..but...you hope to slim into them again one day, right? So you just can't throw them out! I relate to the struggle, i really do
Kumquatsquash · 11/01/2021 10:39

Where do you all store this stuff? Confused

200 shoes? 60 coats?! I'm in a 2 bed flat with 2 dc and have to be ruthless so we don't all drown in stuff.

Valkadin · 11/01/2021 10:42

1,500 Ladybird books

Birth, marriage and death certificates from when we researched our family tree. We did discover one of DH ancestors died due to injuries sustained from falling off a haystack.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 11/01/2021 10:48

Make up bags. Once, back in the mists of time, I replied, "Oh, a make up bag would be useful, thanks!" when a family member asked me what I would like for Christmas/birthday.

Riv12345 · 11/01/2021 10:55

@TiredUselessHopeless

🤣🤣🤣

Me too

lampygirl · 11/01/2021 11:11

Bikes. Only me and DP and we have 11 between us.
Coats. I just am a sucker for a coat. Mostly wear the same one or two but again it’s definitely in the double figures (darent count)
Socks. If I won the lottery I’d have new socks every day and am in a subscription club so some arrive in the post every month Blush

RuleConfusion · 11/01/2021 11:12

Boxes of unbranded Cornflakes - I think about 50. I live in South Devon and there are currently multiple cruise liners moored in the bay. They decided to ‘help’ the local community by donating all their long life food to the schools. The schools had nowhere to store them so rather forcefully handed them out to all the pupils to take home over the course of several weeks. We use them for assault courses - they make good ‘walls’ to crash through.

Onesmallstepforaman · 11/01/2021 12:50

Motorbike clothing, particularly gloves. Waterproof, heated, ventilated, long, short, armoured, lightweight. And I'll probably buy more once I get to a bike show again.

Changethetoner · 11/01/2021 12:51

Colanders - big ones, small ones, white ones, metal ones...
There is only so often a family can eat pasta.

Xmascardcrap · 11/01/2021 13:26

snapped yes that's it. However unrealistic that is, I still stubbornly think I'll be slim again. And of course I'll definitely want to wear 10 years out of date stuff when I am.

LunaNorth · 11/01/2021 13:29

Books
Mugs
Trainers
Socks
Eyeliners
Perfume

LunaNorth · 11/01/2021 13:31

Also, floral midi dresses.

AriesTheRam · 11/01/2021 13:33

Skincare lotions and potions

SoMuchToBits · 11/01/2021 13:40

Playmobil. But I do use it.

Bluesheep8 · 11/01/2021 14:02
