What is your favourite soap scent?

I love to buy a gorgeously scented posh bar of soap to use in the shower, it's my little bit of luxury in the morning.

The shop I always buy it from is outside my local area, (and probably closed anyway). I usually get mango scented, it's my favourite.

I'm about to run out and I thought if I have to buy online anyway, maybe I should be mixing it up and trying a different scent.

What are your favourites?

Snail slime, ew!

DrBuckulees · 14/01/2021 08:49

Nesti Dante Lilac & Wisteria is my current favourite - smells delicious, if not precisely of those two scents.

Liberty soaps are also lovely, as are Soapsmith.

The favourite in our house is Le Petit Olivier verbena and lemon. All their fragrances are lovely (lavender, peony etc) but this is our stand out favourite!

Ah yes, I like Faith in Nature's Lavender. Haven't tried Rosemary.

Teddypicker · 14/01/2021 10:56

These soaps are really lovely. My favourite is Fleur de Coton

Never tried Fanny though Grin

This is a lovely thread....I love proper bar soap. Good tip about cutting the massive bars with a bread knife....I've never thought of that!

I usually buy mine in tk maxx which obviously isn't an option now so it's nice to have some online suggestions.

Cutting the bars up means I can use a bit of one and then switch fragrances.

Whathappenedtothelego · 14/01/2021 14:19

My new soaps have arrived, beautifully packaged in tissue paper!

The best one is raspberry, but they are all rather lovely.

I recently opened a Bronnley Freesia one that had been in a drawer for ages. Smells gorgeous, plus a lovely rich and creamy lather.

TaraR2020 · 14/01/2021 15:08

Emma's Soaps are gorgeous and I know a few people who swear they're the only soap product their skin can tolerate- saved a couple of them from a lifetime of aqueous cream

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 16/01/2021 20:03

That’s an excellent tip about cutting the bars in half! I love the Nesti Dante but they are massive! Going to try the wisteria and lilac as recommended upthread.
As soon as I find out how to do links I’ll share the lemon and patchouli one I was
talking about...

These are my go to favourite soap bars, they're expensive but they scent the whole bathroom after a shower and they last for aaaages!
My favourite is 'Rainy day in Hebden'.

This is the website for the handmade soaps. The dusty rose is also gorgeous!

I ordered a rose Nesti Dante but was a bit disappointed with it so I’m going for a browse on Amazon to get a new fix! 😊

Fifilafrog · 17/01/2021 00:28

Following. I am a soap addict!! 😳

PickAChew · 17/01/2021 00:30

I have a rather nice, citrusy, Dr Bronner's soap, in the shower. t's neither too strong nor too drying.

SueblueNZ · 17/01/2021 08:40

Pears, though it is becoming very difficult to get here in NZ.

I loved the look of this website, but the £4.95 postage put me off!

Johnson's baby soap for me. I could sit forever just sniffing a bar.

Mydogisagentleman · 08/08/2021 08:40

Pears

I love both the blue and green Pears soaps. 75p a bar in Savers. They’re so fresh but with a herbal edge - I’m obsessed
RampantIvy · 08/08/2021 08:45

@Blowingagale

Original imperial leather -not a posh soap though
Same Grin I always go back to this or Dove. The Yorkshire Soap Company make lovely soaps though, and have a huge choice.
