Cheese moments. (Quite dull post)

I used to love to have these with a Newky Brown at the pub back when I had a social life. You can't get them these days and I have been irked about it for quite some time.

Also the bar I can't remember the name of but it had nuts, cherries and I think coconut in it and was covered in chocolate and I could regularly be found walking to the garage at midnight for one.

What do you really miss?

And a proper walnut whip.

They're shite now.

Oh yes, Cheese Moments were fabulous. I miss cream cheese flavour NikNaks, in the pale yellow bag.

Cabana choc bar was with cherries and coconut.

Newky Brown. Vague memories of threading the bottle tops on our Kickers laces?

Hula hoops Big O's beef n mustard.

Why do they snatch away the good ones and leave the insult to my tastebuds that is peanut butter KitKat or the star bar?

I need chocolate. Medically need. Is an emergency chocolate dash considered an essential journey? 😂

Pizza Rollers or something like that. It looked like a doughnut but was pizza dough with the filling inside and I think you microwaved it. It was so good.

I used to love a Secret bar. Long gone but not forgotten. And Onken mousses, peach was my favourite. I wrote to them asking why they’d stopped making them and they said they didn’t sell enough...I’d buy them Onken

Tesco do pizza pockets which are fairly close.

I used to love Cheese Moments, you can still get Scampi Fries and Bacon Fries but not had a Cheesy Moments in ages. I also used to like Phileas Fogg Shanghai Nuts,

Pink Panther bar.

These were pretty good, I used to have a bag in my packed lunch at infant school.

Cheese Moments are still available. Only gave up being a landlady 12 months ago and supplier still stocked them!
Cabana was indeed the best chocolate bar ever and I miss them!

I am very old but in the 70's you could get salt and vinegar corn snacks called bones - lush

I worked in new product development many moons ago, and one of the products we were keeping an eye on was Rowntree's Secret bar. It was hugely successful initially - but sales dropped very quickly (which is why, I think, it was discontinued). Our research suggested that ultimately it was just too sickly for most people. The first bite or two was great, but after a whole bar it was just too much.

So high sales were lots of people trying it - and then sales fell because not many people bought it a second time.

I was never a big Cheese Moments fan, but @Sparklingbrook - you’ve reminded of another Phileas Fogg treat, Mignons Morceaux. Little crunchy garlicky bites. They seemed quite exotic in the 80s. Bloody loved them.

Heinz baked bean pizzas were great. Used to top them with blue stilton, amazing!

Ooh yes-those too. There was a Waitrose over the road from where I worked (this would have been maybe late 80s/early 90s) and we would regularly send someone over for some of those. They were really crunchy!
