How ridiculous is that? Or am I being stupid?

Omg! That's really poor.

NelliesWellies · 08/01/2021 13:11

2/3 surely?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 08/01/2021 13:11

I don’t understand the issue? Isn’t it just 2/3?

?

wlaiabdh · 08/01/2021 13:13

Because it's too hard? What age is it aimed at?

wowfudge · 08/01/2021 13:13

The decimal should be 0.7? Is that right? Doubting myself now.

catinb00tz · 08/01/2021 13:13

66.6% and 0.6 are not the same.

OP posts:
JewelTheft · 08/01/2021 13:13

I dont see it either, last one 2/3, although the decimal should be 0.66 I guess

LaceyBetty · 08/01/2021 13:14

The decimal in the last one is wrong.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 08/01/2021 13:14

It’s not 0.6 though, it’s 0.6 reoccurring, ie 0.66666666 etc

ShetlandWife · 08/01/2021 13:14

Ooh I've just learned something. The dot above the 6 means the number repeats forever. So it makes sense!

catinb00tz · 08/01/2021 13:14

66.6% is 2/3 but 0.6 is the equivalent of 60% which would be 3/5

(I think Grin)

OP posts:
wowfudge · 08/01/2021 13:14

No - there's nothing wrong with it. The dot over the 6 in 0.6 signifies it's a recurring decimal.

Purplethrow · 08/01/2021 13:14

3/5 , I don’t know why the boxes are all over the place though

Respectabitch · 08/01/2021 13:14

The dot over the six indicates that it is repeated indefinitely.

It's a perfectly fine and accurate problem.

WannabeMathematician · 08/01/2021 13:14

2/3?

What age is it aimed at?

BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze · 08/01/2021 13:15

66.6% and 0.6 are not the same.

Confused There’s a recurring sign though so it’s correct

Autumn101 · 08/01/2021 13:15

But there’s a dot above the 0.6 to indicate recurring surely?? So it’s 0.6666666 infinitely.......

catinb00tz · 08/01/2021 13:15

Oh well that teaches me to not wear my glasses. Didn't see the dot Blush

OP posts:
SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 08/01/2021 13:15

Admittedly you have to know that that’s what the dot means, I don’t know what age this is aimed at or whether that’s something they would be expected to know

LaceyBetty · 08/01/2021 13:16

Ah. Didn't notice the dot.

BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze · 08/01/2021 13:16

You’re incorrect. The question is correct.

TooManyButtons · 08/01/2021 13:16

The dot above the 6 in 0.6 means recurring, so it's 0.666666...

catinb00tz · 08/01/2021 13:16

I don't think DS10 knew what the dot meant. He didn't mention it and I couldn't see it 🤣
