What has happened to edam cheese?

I've not been able to buy any this year so far, in two separate supermarkets. (I wasn't just going for edam, I hasten to add!)

We couldn't find it at Christmas either. DS1 was most upset

I've heard it's now made backwards

I buy it in Lidl every week. Possibly a backlog due to Christmas and the mess in Dover?

Sainsburys had some at Christmas.Also Babybel (Not quite the same I know)!

I want to know what's happened to mini marshmallows - my only vice. There haven't been any in the shops for a few weeks and I've tried everywhere.

Something else we can blame on Brexit?

We got some in Sainsbury’s before Christmas.

aldi sells packets of sliced edam

I find it in Morrison's or Waitrose only. Never in M&S or Tesco, or Sainsbury's strangely

Mum and I spent ages looking for Edam just before Christmas ended up asking the lovely lady filling up the yoghurt section. She walked across the aisle and pointed to a box full . It was lined up on the shelf in one of the resealable bags, you couldn't see the red wax and it looked just like the chedder!

Slices Edam is just not the same as the wedge! Not even close

I can’t find Brie anywhere. My local sainsburys in NI have replaced a lot of their products with spar brand because of brexit

Our Morrisons had a Christmas excess of brie and it was being sold at half price yesterday. Which illustrates the ridiculousness of use by dates, because it's not even ready yet, but is apparently out of date.

Anyone else fed up with only being able to buy certain types of cheese pre-sliced. Edam and Gouda for example but also Lidl used to do a big block of Emmental for about £2.50 but now you can only buy the slices.

I have tried for weeks to get hold of Chamomile tea. None in Lidl, Sainsbury's or co op. I went into a Bargain Booze last night thinking no way would they stock it but lo and behold I managed to get a box.
No parmesan in Lidl either.

It's been so long since I've bought Edam cheese I'd forgotten it existed. I love Edam cheese. And no, the sliced stuff is definitely not the same.

This, a thousand times this. Ended up buying a bag of massive USA style ones and chopping them up for hot chocolate
