Christmas decorations Grin

Food magazines and cookbooks.

Blankets

Positivevibesonlyplease · 05/01/2021 20:30

Shampoo and conditioner. DD and I have sensitive scalps and can only use a particular brand, which is pricy, so I stockpile when it’s on offer. I hate the cupboards being so full of it though, so I mustn’t buy any more!

Morticia27 · 05/01/2021 20:31

@PyongyangKipperbang

ANother one with a MASSIVE collection of vintage Pryex (Chelsea pattern if anyone cares) its the absolute best.

Shoes.

Harry Potter Lego

Harry Potter merch in general

Books....actually scratch that, there is no such thing as too many books!

Ways to curl my flat fine hair, only one of which actually works, but for some reason I cant bring myself to throw the others away.

Ooh please tell me the way to curl your flat fine hair, I have a drawer full of gadgets and am always tempted to buy more, what is the secret 🤫
BearSoFair · 05/01/2021 20:32

Socks. About 70 pairs...but I still find myself buying more!

Sarahandduck18 · 05/01/2021 20:33

Adult colouring books and supplies. Love them. Theyre great for lockdown!

treeslets · 05/01/2021 20:37

Laundry baskets. Just the cheap plastic ones from IKEA. I think I have 8, maybe more.

EraOfTheGrey · 05/01/2021 20:41

Did have 13 pairs of Dr Martens but have sold 6 pairs recently. Will be selling a few more soon.

Yarn. I have 2 huge wicker baskets full and am a sucker for lovely new wool.

LindaEllen · 05/01/2021 20:41

Unread books.
My DP has now banned me from keeping books I've read, unless they're really special (like I have my Harry Potter ones and some classics and firm favourites on a shelf), but my issue is books that are unread.
I absolutely love books, and when I was younger I'd pretty much breathe them in, I could read a book in less than a day sometimes.
For the last few years (quite a few, actually) I've had anxiety, which has heavily affected my concentration, so I can only read a few pages at a time, as opposed to sitting and reading a whole book without looking up.
But the 'buy these books NOW' part of my brain hasn't adapted to this.
Whenever I see a new release that I think looks good, I have to order it. I will enjoy them! Just slowly. The drawer under my bed is rammed with books.
DP has said I have to read two books before I can buy one, and that way my 'stash' will go down. So instead of just buying them I'm making a list. Plan to get around this by asking for books for birthday and Christmas from various family members, but haven't told DP. Shhh.

piglet81 · 05/01/2021 20:45

Mugs. Apparently we had over 40 last time we moved (DH counted them as he was campaigning for a cull) which I admit is excessive when I’m the only one here who drinks hot drinks! But lots of them have sentimental value and I am terrible at throwing stuff away.

LadyJaye · 05/01/2021 20:47

Books.

I am very anti-clutter and generally have a one in, one out policy applied to everything else, but... books. They're like family!

Tangledtresses · 05/01/2021 20:47

At after reading this thread...,

MrsAvocet · 05/01/2021 20:58

My DH would say bikes, but he is wrong.
I have a lot of odd socks because I still believe the missing ones will return, and bras that don't fit me, because one day they might.

PatsyStone39 · 05/01/2021 21:00

Perfume. I had around 150 bottles at one point, then i gave myself a talking to and i've got it down to about 50. Which is still ridiculous.

LadyEloise · 05/01/2021 21:03

I don't know which is worse, 7 sofas or 30 tarantulas !!!! Smile

You must have an enormous house to have 7 sofas @twobrews
