Sorry this thread is about a week old but I had to tell you this

So my elderly friend who is part of my bubble is 91 (she was my Nans friend before she passed)

I went earlier today to take some shopping and do some cleaning for her (all very socially distanced) she usually puts her food away but she was tired after her vaccine so was resting

So she's asked me for 2 tins of pears in juice, she always has these

I have no idea why as there was 23 tins of them in her cupboard, 11 of which were out of date 2 going back to 2012!

birdling · 24/01/2021 16:07

Lego. And we keep getting more. 🙄

emmetgirl · 06/02/2021 18:33

Books and jackets.

MaudTheInvincible · 06/02/2021 18:37

Books
Bookmarks
Plates
Bags

Too many of all of them, but I don't really care.

BikeRunSki · 06/02/2021 18:38

Bikes (5)
Wooly hats (20+)
Wooly socks (10ish pairs)
Jackets for many different increments of wet/dry combos, for different outdoor activity. I know full well that’s one thigh length mid weight goretex jacket and a couple of fleeces will cover 90% of all outdoor situations.
Toilet rolls - not getting thorough it as quickly as our Who Gives a Crap subscription thinks we should.

balzamico · 06/02/2021 18:46

Graters - seem to have a bit of a thing for them! Blush
Box grater, fine one for zest, fine-ish for ginger, fine for cheese, coarse for cheese and then one of those rotary ones with different thicknesses (I'm not even sure that's all of them).
I also use my food processor for grating and have at least one further grater among my camping stuff!

twilightcafe · 06/02/2021 18:49

Nail polish (like, boxes worth)
Nice pens (kept under lock and key)
Knitting yarn
Darning needles
False eyelashes (even though I can't get the hang of them)
White trainers
Charger leads
Lip balms
Hand cream

TwoZeroTwoZero · 06/02/2021 18:58

Knitting yarn
Knitting needles
Off cuts of fabric
Sewing needles
Vases and old bottles and jars to be used as vases
Fairy lights
Photos of strange things like concrete, wood bark, rusty trays, peeling paint, dirty glass from windows, old paper, wallpaper patterns etc (they make good textures for other photos!)

OMGisthisforreal · 06/02/2021 19:00

Cookery books
IKEA tea lights and church candles

Rainbowandscarlett · 06/02/2021 19:04

Scarves-I must own 200+
I see one I like, buy it,add it to the collection, forget I own so many then rinse and repeat
Footwear-I moved 17 pairs today that had been dumped round the house over the last few weeks-they are crammed everywhere
Cross stitch kits-it’s my hobby-but I have 7 to complete before I allow myself to buy another
Perfumes-way too many-I just love them

JaneJeffer · 06/02/2021 19:06

Teaspoons. I hid most of them during first lockdown because the DS's kept talking a new one out every time.

Tulipsinmyvase · 06/02/2021 19:06

Black kohl eyeliners

Pink/nude lip liners and gloss

Gold hoop earrings

Gold and silver bangles

Fake tan

High heels (that I don’t get to wear anymore ☹️)

Boots

OhWhyNot · 10/02/2021 22:22

Nail polish

Not police ...

RUOKHon · 10/02/2021 22:23

Shoes and knitwear.

In my defence, I do wear it/them all. There’s just a lot.

MaudTheInvincible · 10/02/2021 22:32

I own three bags of make-up that I never wear, and one bag of nail varnishes that I only wear a few times a year. Also, shoes. Far too many shoes.

MiniTheMinx · 10/02/2021 22:43

Guns
Last time I counted it was 58
Swords
Knives, not sure how many
Dolls heads
Ink Wells
Books
Clay pipes
clocks
barometers
Far too many chairs

We don't have enough visitors to warrant all these chairs Grin We aren't scary really! The guns and swords are all C18th.

And shopping bags, because I forget them and then buy more reusable bags because I feel self conscious asking for the disposable ones Confused

DenisetheMenace · 10/02/2021 22:44

Cats 😻

TaraR2020 · 10/02/2021 22:54

Notebooks

altiara · 10/02/2021 23:10

Kitchen things with polka dots on
Kettle
Toaster
Tea towels
Oven gloves
Tea bag thing
Spoon rest
Chopping board
Caddies
Tablecloth x2
Tray

Sometimes I open a cupboard and there’s another thing covered in polka dots.
They don’t all match! Some do.

Msfoxy17 · 10/02/2021 23:22
