I would say wrestling figures , at least 40 from my childhood

Spode Christmas Tree dinnerware. Utterly old fashioned, pattern from 1938 (even this years’s new pieces), from teapots to plates to nutcracker candlesticks & tree shaped cake platters. Love each & every one.

Yarn. A lot. I’m a big blanket crocheter (in all senses of the word big). I haven’t not had a blanket on the go since I learned 3 years ago.

LBOCS2 · 05/01/2021 19:55

Nail varnishes. I have well over 60 and it increased by two this Christmas 😳

Board games, but they get played so it's ok 😁

happinessischocolate · 05/01/2021 19:55

Microwaveable rice, at some point we stopped eating it every other day but I didn't stop buying it in the weekly shop, I think there's about 30 bags in the cupboard, and pasta, I seem to have a fear running out of it

GypsyWanderer · 05/01/2021 19:57

Tea towels. Art supplies. Dogs.

TroysMammy · 05/01/2021 19:57

Card making stuff. I'm now going to the Range and Hobbycraft and leaving empty handed because I've got most of the stuff at home and there's nothing new there I need.

jrb123 · 05/01/2021 19:58

Vases. My pre-Christmas mantra has always been: You can never have too many vases. My family have taken me at my word over the years and now it might be that I can, in fact, have far too many vases, all with sentimental associations and thus not able to go to the charity shop. Oh, and I have too many shoes, too, although I have to buy those myself. In fact, I've just got too much stuff, now I think of it.

hollieberrie · 05/01/2021 19:59

lifeinlimbo2020 · 05/01/2021 20:00

Cam77 · 05/01/2021 20:01

Musical instruments: Piano, guitar, accordion, trumpet x3, cornet, flugelhorn, piano, assorted small weird ones.

Stupidusernamefaff · 05/01/2021 20:02

@TheWindowDonkey

Fancy underwear. I wore crap kecks for years, last year i lost weight and toned up and chucked out all my grundy undies. Now i wear something gorgeous under my clothes every day. It makes me smile.
Goals. Love this.
ScampiLady · 05/01/2021 20:09

Tents, six not including the two beach tents.

Another with vintage pyrex, inherited most of it, picked up other bits. None of it matches other than its pyrex. My dh is so thankful that charity shops are shut atm.

Fosters pottery, my grandfather bought a load of it for my mother, I said I liked it so he bought me some pieces. He's passed now. I adore it and always look for bits to add and use some of it too.

Jam jars, especially nice shaped ones, must have upwards of 50! I keep them for holding citronella candles in the garden to fend gnats. Have today put a beautiful square jar in the dishwasher ready for it to become a candle holder in the warmer months and last week finished off a F&M one so have that to use too.

Toilet rolls inners ready for my sweet peas Grin

After putting the xmas decorations away have realised I now have 10 garlands Blush

CherryRoulade · 05/01/2021 20:09

Fish forks. We never us more than a dozen or so but I have about fifty.
Fish kettles. Five of of them.
Tureens. One nice silver Georgian and three hideous Victorian flowery affairs.
Alexa dots - my husband seems to put a new one around the house every time I turn around.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 05/01/2021 20:12

Yarn and books.

Not sorry! Grin

Sarjest · 05/01/2021 20:13

Pyjamas. I love the changing of the seasons and my pj collection. Fleecy/ brushed cotton, flowery ones, cropped, shorts... They bring me joy but DH says I have a ridiculous amount.

WobblyLondoner · 05/01/2021 20:13

House plants. I had one before lockdown, now my son thinks we live in a jungle ...

SoMuchToBits · 05/01/2021 20:14

Playmobil! Originally ds had loads, but I have added a lot in recent years to make all my Playmo scenes to post on MN.

Porridgeoat · 05/01/2021 20:14

Wooden giraffes 🥰

WobblyLondoner · 05/01/2021 20:14

@bloodywhitecat wins the prize for best answer though - hands down.

RosesAndHellebores · 05/01/2021 20:15

Aside from the nail varnish, pens, old flowerpots and ancient dvds and dh's vast book collection - Murano Cockerels. All c1960s dark green and purple. Ever since mother blagged hers off on me and I was polite. Now have:

Hers
My grandma's
My Step's mother's
Auntie Joan's
Auntie Ethel's

I believe there are a few more to come Shock

newname2021 · 05/01/2021 20:15

Rubber ducks. All bought for me by one family member.

I have all the different ducks.

justthecat · 05/01/2021 20:16

Candles 🕯

RosesAndHellebores · 05/01/2021 20:20

And lest I forget the bottles and tubes of body lotion from gift sets. Use every scrap of bubble bath, shower gel, soap etc, but not the body lotion.

bloodywhitecat yes I agree Grin

Springersrock · 05/01/2021 20:23

Rugs and for my horses - we moved them early last year and I was actually amazed by how many rugs we have. We’d been at our old yard for years so never really realised how many there were until I moved them

In my defence, they’re mostly 2nd hand from FB, but I was genuinely shocked by just how many there were.

I need to sort them out and stick some of them back on FB
