Do you ever wonder the outcome of some threads?

I often follow threads that never reach a conclusion and do sometimes wonder...

Like the one where the woman had a terrible fallout with her DH...he then spent the entire weekend lying on the floor of their walk in wardrobe - in the dark- refusing to eat, drink or communicate with anyone. Every few hours someone would ask 'is he still in the wardrobe?'...and yes he was despite her sending the DC in to try to get him out etc. So strange and just such a desperate situation for her.

There was one a few years ago where a sister was telephoned by the school as an emergency contact to pick up her poorly niece, and when she took her home she discovered a lot of neglect, filthy home, unhygienic with no food etc. and began trying to get temporary custody of niece....I became so invested and then it ended up to be a troll apparently!

Which threads have stuck with you they you still
wonder about?

Did we ever find out the answer to the Boswell riddle?

Did we ever find out the answer to the Boswell riddle?

The 'answer' was that there is no answer. The whole purpose was to annoy people and lead them a merry dance.

As the esteemed philosopher Leslie Dennis would say, "Winter nights must fly by in that family's house".

@billybagpuss I am so glad to hear that. I didn’t see those threads and I’ve thought about her from time to time. I hope she is in a much better situation now.

Yes! There was one where a woman ended up discovering she was pregnant after thinking she had wind or something like that. Was quite late on and a real surprise. I followed along for ages. Lost the thread now so no idea if it ever got updated again.

Intermittently wonder how it turned out for her! I hope well!

There was one, think she was called Gaelicsiog who had a dickhead ex with access to her DD who had a partner with load of children who always came before her poor DD. He sounded like a right knob & I often wonder if she's ok. Same with the Brian thread, I really felt for her but have a bad feeling about it.
Loved the Yellowblinds one with the mad MIL!!

I often wonder about a poster called Della (I think she was American??). She originally posted about her husbands treatment of their aupair. The thread ran for quite a while, he was emotionally abusive to her and their little girl. He went ahead with a large house extension against her wishes and she finally made secret plans to leave him.
She was creating a new life for herself and her daughter while dealing with his demands for access to the child. Some things the child said about her visits to him were causing concerns. Last I read was at the beginning of the first lockdown, she had formed a childcare bubble with a neighbour but then her posts seemed to stop. I hope they are both doing ok.

@Chicchicchicchiclana MIDDLE AGED WOMAN???? I am not yet 40! :D

There have been developments. I was just coming on here to update my original thread, if I can find it.

I wonder what happened on the thread a few years ago by ?applecrumbles? About a work disciplinary. She was basically being hounded out of her job on no evidence, and was treated appallingly.
I hope she moved on and got a much better job in a company that treats employees with respect.

I was reading one yesterday about a child who had come for a sleepover and his mother hadn't collected him. OP was worried and was calling 111. Now can't find the thread to see what the outcome was.

The thread got taken down, but OP did come back to say that the Mum had been located and was OK.
