I seem to be in a lazy Christmas fog at the moment.
The house is becoming a bit too messy, the kids need some exercise and I need to source and cook some healthy food now that all the leftovers are almost finished.
I will be lazing around too as, hey, it’s still holiday season but I’d love to get the following done -
One laundry load
Tidy and clean living room and bathroom
Get the kids out for joyful walk
Meal plan for the rest of the week and do a supermarket shop.

I felt the same today, so I've hoovered them kitchen, got a load on, and have a bolognese on the hob.

I think that's it for today!

DailyMailHater · 29/12/2020 10:48

I gave myself a massive kick up the backside yesterday and managed to get all the presents put away, every room tided up, dusted and hoovered and then changed the beds. I did an online shop which is coming today to stock up on “proper food” and then today’s job is to tackle the washing...haven’t put a load on since the 23rd December and weather is bright and breezy here today to reckon I can get a few loads out on the line to break the back of it.

SmellyPooHead · 29/12/2020 10:59

It's too easy to stay in holiday mode isn't it
I've made myself do the washing, vacuum and put the rubbish out
Now it's time for another cuppa

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 29/12/2020 11:11

I’ve done two loads, a proper bedroom sort out and a whisk round the others. Downstairs hoovered, but I e run out of steam for a bit now.

Mydogisagentleman · 29/12/2020 11:15

I got in from work at 8 this morning.
So far I have had 4 slices of toast., 5 coffees, fed the dog and looked at the news.
I’m currently trying to decide whether to go to bed for a couple of hours or try to do something constructive.
Bed idea is winning

islockdownoveryet · 29/12/2020 11:20

I feel like that I can't be bothered.
I've put a wash on stripped the bed and put dishwasher on .
Everywhere is a bit of a tip and I can't be bothered.
I need to take dc for a haircut and could do with a walk out too .
I'm thinking I'll tidy up then walk and maybe dc can have a haircut tomorrow.

onemouseplace · 29/12/2020 11:23

I went back to bed after breakfast, and am still there, so I definitely need a kick up the arse to do something.

I’m going to have a shower and get dressed in a tick, then I want to get a wash on, do a bit of ironing, and do a tidy prior to our cleaner coming tomorrow.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 29/12/2020 11:26

I'd like to go swimming, but our road is snowed in, so it's a bit risky. Got my eye on a cross trainer on Ebay, but I've already bid about double what I intended, and still been outbid. But domestically, I need to hoover and mop some floors. I have put the crimbo stuff away, so would be happy to have achieved a hoover and mopfest.

Bearsbearsbears40 · 29/12/2020 11:31

I like to give myself a time limit for things I need to do on holiday days like this. I’ve already been for a (soggy) run this morning. I now have til 12.30pm at latest to have a bit of a tidy up and to sort the under stairs cupboard. If it’s not done by the deadline it has to wait until tomorrow!

lucysmam · 29/12/2020 11:32

I need to shift & tidy up too but so far have managed to add one single item to a shopping list and drink several cups of coffee 🤷‍♀️

I need to ...

Wash last night's pots Blush
Washer on
Clear table of accumulated junk
Help dd2 find a place for birthday presents
Sweep/mop downstairs (not so fussed about this since it's wet out)
Empty bin

That's plenty to be going on with for now!

hotcrosswhat · 29/12/2020 12:40

I asked DH to get down everything on the top shelves in the kitchen cupboards (I'm pregnant otherwise I would have done it myself!) so I kind of have to sort that out soon now he's done it #toptip

mum2jakie · 29/12/2020 13:24

Good idea. I'm back in work tomorrow so need to straighten up a bit. Hoovered downstairs and will hoover upstairs in the next half hour. Don't seem to have much motivation...

MrsGatsby99 · 29/12/2020 13:32

Good idea for accountability. I have tidied and cleaned bedrooms (trying to keep following TOMM), cleaned loos and basins, quick kitchen clean and one load of laundry. Probably enough for one day doe me but am meant to be decluttering a cupboard too. How exciting. Will just do 15 mins...that is a start. Good luck, everyone.

SlothWithACloth · 29/12/2020 13:37

I’ve sorted out food for today, but haven’t got round to any actual cleaning yet.
Plan is to do some chores until 2.30 then off for our joyful walk (!)

AlexaShutUp · 29/12/2020 13:41

Oh dear, I need a kick up the backside too. I'm definitely in can't be arsed mode today!

I'd be happy if I could achieve the following:

One load of laundry
Take out the recycling
Meal plan for the week ahead and update online shop accordingly.
Make a list of jobs to apply for

onemouseplace · 29/12/2020 14:01

I’ve so far stayed in bed for another hour, had my shower and put a wash on.

lucysmam · 29/12/2020 15:37

I haven't mopped, and the birthday presents are still downstairs at the mo. I've done the rest, done some crafting and helped dd sort through her books though.

That'll do for today!

DailyMailHater · 29/12/2020 15:40

Well I have managed to get 3 loads of washing done and drying, another load in now that I will tumble dry when done and then just 2 more loads tomorrow and I am back on top 😊 now where did I tidy that box of chocolates away to...

Littlepigsmig · 29/12/2020 16:24

After a play in the snow this morning, I've vacuumed the whole house, cleaned the bathroom and bagged up the batteries for recycling. Going to start tea in a sec so today has been reasonably productive.

Presents can be put away tomorrow when I clear some space!

I do feel better once I've vacuumed, makes the air in the house feel fresher for some reason!

onemouseplace · 29/12/2020 16:26

Tidying and ironing didn't happen, but I did pick up my order from M&S and get some bits for NYE while I was there, go for a family walk and DH took the batteries to the recycling point.

SlothWithACloth · 30/12/2020 09:23

I wasn’t as productive yesterday as I should have been so I’m trying again.
Clean bathroom
Clean out fridge
Get rid of all the crap from the living room
Do some exercise

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/12/2020 09:30

Meal planned yesterday and the food arrived this morning and has been put away.
I spent a few hours on Monday sorting out all of my knickers, tights and socks. Tights and socks all now organised into drawstring bags that I made, so one for coloured tights, one for lace tights etc.
The tree is coming down today.
Otherwise, I intend to do as little as possible!

Violetroselily · 30/12/2020 09:41

Sending you a virtual arse kick

I started the big tidy-up yesterday and I am firmly in the "gets worse before it gets better stage" but I'm feeling positive and productive today

DailyMailHater · 30/12/2020 10:58

Have done my last load of washing this morning which is all the towels....so I am gonna stick on a film and iron everything I washed yesterday and get it all put away after I am aiming to be back on top by the end of today, so I can chill over the weekend ready to go back to worn on the 4th

DailyMailHater · 30/12/2020 11:02

*work not worn 🙄
