I seem to be in a lazy Christmas fog at the moment.
The house is becoming a bit too messy, the kids need some exercise and I need to source and cook some healthy food now that all the leftovers are almost finished.
I will be lazing around too as, hey, it’s still holiday season but I’d love to get the following done -
One laundry load
Tidy and clean living room and bathroom
Get the kids out for joyful walk
Meal plan for the rest of the week and do a supermarket shop.

Good plan!

Need to do 3 loads of washing for starters.

I'm trying to sort out my sewing room...so far that has resulted in 4 bags going to the tip yesterday (👍🏼) but our bedroom, the dressing room and the landing are covered in "stuff " that I still have to sort out 😭DEFINITELY at the "worse before it gets better " stage....

I'm aiming for cleaning the bathroom and downstairs loo as priority today. Dd2 has just got in the shower though so I'm being held up

I've done a wash load and have a load of lights ready to go...once I prize, still sleeping, dd1's giant hoody off her body Hmm.

Birthday presents are definitely making their way upstairs today apart from the mantis enclosure that I've found shelf space for until the bug is bigger.

I have discovered we do not need to buy any notebooks for a very long time & I should be kept firmly away from the packs of colourful pens in Poundland & The Works Blush, while shifting stuff about in the living room to put things with their own kind iyswim.

Just been out and bought a storage box, into which I've put all of my 'summer holiday' clothes to free up some space in the wardrobe. Now feeling very virtuous!

Back again Grin
I feel a bit lame as I’m not getting things done. To be fair, I am recovering from covid and still need to rest a fair bit.
But there no magic fairies to wave their wands so I’ll try again. I want to start the new year with fairly clean house.

Clean bathroom and get rid of crap
Clear out living room and get rid of crap
Declutter 10 items. I’m going to do this every day in January until I feel happy and decluttered.

Keep going! Today for me is
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen
Hoover
Trying to get it all done this morning so I can have a chilled out afternoon...for some reason have been really motivated with the housework this week don’t think I have ever been so on top of it, hope this motivation stays around!

Did some more sorting today - all scarves and hats tidied; a load of DVDs packaged into a box to create shelf space; two bags for the charity shop (when they can re-open); a bag of rubbish.

SlothWithACloth · 31/12/2020 17:47

Finally done! I tidied, hoovered, mopped, sorted out a cupboard, dusted, cleared some clutter, did some laundry, went shopping (mainly for a self isolating friend)
Dcs tidied and hoovered their room.
Now we can just enjoy a relaxing evening with a takeaway and movies.
Happy new year everyone Smile

All done here too! Collecting takeaway at 7.30 and fizz is chilling in the fridge, and lots of games lined up for the evening trivial pursuit, uno flip and cards against humanity (family edition)
