Thorntons viennese truffle ruined

Just working my way through a box of their continental. Couldn’t fine the Viennese until I notice a load of uninteresting looking chocs left in the box.
They have replaced the sugar coated covering with boring milk chocolate. It’s too sickly now. Am gutted. They have clearly done this as it’s cheaper but it was a classic. What were they thinking! Next it will be the alpini!!! I already thought they were going downhill but this is the start of real demise. A sad day.

They have added ‘a touch of salt’ to the fudge in my annual box of Thorntons from MIL. IT WAS FINE HOW IT WAS!! (I can’t abide salted caramel/fudge)

We don’t have a Thornton’s here anymore anyway, it disappeared a while after HC moved in just down the corridor.

I literally said this tonight when we opened our box. That has been my first choice for 30 years and now it’s gone. Sad times indeed.

I had a bag of alpini in my Xmas stocking. Crap. So disappointed, they definitely aren't as good as they used to be.

And the alpini is now called an 'alpine truffle' 🙄
If they fuck with the vanilla truffle I'll be fuming

I got a couple bags in my stocking, they’re my favourites. Still covered in sugar though and still delicious!

My dad used to bring these home on a Friday evening after work, when Thornton’s was the poshest chocolate shop we knew. This would have been nearly 30 years ago! They don’t taste the same these days :(
