The girls are Minecrafting together while their dad moves dd2's bedroom round. He's discovered we have a damp problem in there .

I'm taking advantage of the peace, having a cup of coffee alone while I put dates in next year's diary.

Tidying. I hate the post Christmas blues!

Kids are on their PC's in their rooms. Dh is renewing Disney+ subscription. I'm sat in kitchen, feet up drinking a white wine spritzer.

I'm in bed, with the electric blanket on, on mn and ig.

I am eating a big bowl of minestrone soup with couple of slices of naice white bread. DS has gone to get KFC for himself.

Looking at the snow photos from places all around us and wishing we'd got some.

Teens upstairs gaming or on phones. Little one is having 20 minutes watching YouTube on the switch while I sit half watching crap telly and folding washing! We have however played in the snow for about 15 kinutes and played with the little ones sylvanian families and drew and played with kinetic sand and coloured in. I'm exhausted and need just a few minutes to myself........

Really want to go out for a walk but the weather is ridiculous today - a cycle of strong wind, very brief sunny spells and then absolutely torrential showers. It's cold too.

I'm on the sofa trying to muster up the energy to go and tidy up in the kitchen.

@lucysmam I am eagerly awaiting delivery of my new family organiser, which should arrive this afternoon. I hope there will be more to put in it than there has been in 2020's one! I'm quite excited about filling it in!

Trying to motivate myself to go for a walk but the weather is horrible. I think I will make a start on my new dog jigsaw. I haven't done jigsaws since I was a child but figured we will be cooped up for at least a couple more months so I added it to my Christmas list..

Sat on my balcony having a beer and a puff on my vape, the door is shut so I’m getting a few minutes peace from a very noisy five year old.

Waiting for DH so DC and I can have our party (he went to the supermarket and needs to have lunch first but is now upstairs somewhere, but DC insist on waiting for him to join in). We are having a party for no reason at all. We had 'party food' for lunch, which was cheeses and sausage rolls, mini quiches, mozzarella sticks, those Christmas cheese and meat and olive platters from Sainsburys. The party will consist of pin the nose on the snowman which DC are making, Christmas bingo that I printed off the internet, snowman beetle, a robin shaped pass the parcel kind of game I bought the other day, anything else we think of, me giving DC a calendar each that I bought ages ago when they asked for them for Christmas and remembered about today. I have done a few of these very basic parties this year, one at the end of term in the summer, one for halloween. We have fun for a brief period with minimal cost or forward planning and ignore the fact that parties should have more than 3 people (DH doesn't usually join in).

Lying in bed watching tv and on MN after a long walk with the dogs this morning. Trying to fight the urge to eat more food that I don’t even need!!

Just been for a walk in the woods locally, now sitting in the kitchen with tea and shortbread. Dh is next to me with his phone. The boys are watching YouTube minecraft videos and eating jelly babies.

Having a glass of wine in the bath. Both kids 10&8 on the xbox. When I get out I've requested a film. We only have one TV and there's only so much xbox I can take in a day!!

Watching reruns of Cagney and Lacey, on here, and have secreted the box of Quality Street at my side.
DH is asleep and is unaware of the location of the QUality Street. Aren’t the tubs titchy these days? 620g is NOT a suitable size for Christmas or greedy individuals like me.

Have cleaned bathrooms and tidied and sorted out my wool stash and stuff at the top of the wardrobe.

In bed with suspected covid, feeling rotten and miserable but awaiting test result.

Had a productive morning but twisted my ankle so now using that as an excuse to lie on the sofa with the cat, alternating between faffing around on the internet and watching Bridgerton. It’s rather nice although really I should be going for a walk.

DH at work, DS upstairs on Xbox, DD playing with Barbies, I'm sitting on the sofa with the dog eating malteasers and watching the original Murder on the Orient Express. Lying snow outside and it is absolutely freezing!
