Friend pointed out today that we are a fully vowel family, even the cat and hamster have vowel initials.

A, A, E, E and the pets are E and E.

We’re all constants. My DN is “Y” which seems to be very rare. My sister can never seem to find anything with that letter on.

Thisendsnow · 27/12/2020 20:12

I'm A Grin

underneaththeash · 27/12/2020 20:12

We're nearly all consonants. M.C.T.M.E.L.B.P.P

JustAPassingFashion · 27/12/2020 20:15

I'm a vowel but dh, both dc and the cat are all consonants...

CoffeeRunner · 27/12/2020 20:22

We all have different letters by design. Ie to avoid the issue of letters arriving to A. Smith etc in later years & not knowing who they were for.

We are E, K, J, T & P.

Our pets (not anticipated to receive much post) are H & F.

OhCormoranAllYeFaithful · 27/12/2020 20:23

One vowel. Three consonants.

Son is an X, which is quite rare.

JingleJohnsJulie · 27/12/2020 20:25

Two vowels and two consonants so we are nicely balanced.

When I think about it, when I was growing up we had two bowels and two consonants too.

CoffeeRunner · 27/12/2020 20:26

And I’m the only consonant.

I never noticed that before. Although it does vaguely bug me that only one of us (me, DH & 3 DCs) has an odd numbered birthday.

CoffeeRunner · 27/12/2020 20:27

Sorry. I’m the only vowel. Zinfandel brain.

TheClitterati · 27/12/2020 20:28

Me, dc, xp all consonants including first middle & last names.

Serena1977 · 27/12/2020 20:31

I'm A but rest of family are D E F so I guess I should change my name to C or G!

SendHelp30 · 27/12/2020 20:32

Me and DD are vowel - A & E
DH and 2 DS are consonant - L, T & B

Juanbablo · 27/12/2020 20:33

All consonants except ds1. SRALRMN

Soubriquet · 27/12/2020 20:34

All consonants

S. M. K. M. C - humans
L. G. T - animals...never realised that is almost LGBT...

zigaziga · 27/12/2020 20:36

Almost all girls I know born in the last 5 years seem to be A and E. I wonder if that’s a new thing (a move away to vowel initials almost exclusively?) or has always been the same for women?

Soubriquet · 27/12/2020 20:38

More likely that they are the popular Amelia or Evie
