When do I start eating the Christmas food??!!

Serious question
We are tier 4- I have loads of Christmas snacks in. They are staring at me 👀 I keep walking past them trying to ignore them. Is it acceptable to start eating them now? I don't want to have nothing left for Christmas itself if I start now! Haha
When does everyone else start on the Christmas snacks?

I started last night, wine and chocolates. It was there to be shared with family and friends. Now that isn't going to happen 😢

OwlBasket · 20/12/2020 16:22

When it gets dark on Christmas Eve, not a second earlier! Spoils the fun otherwise

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 20/12/2020 16:24

We declared yesterday the first day of Christmas food.

wendz86 · 20/12/2020 16:24

1 December. Christmas for me is all in the run-up and anticipation. By about the 28th I'm sick of all Christmas related stuff, th dec's come down, food is finished and cleared away and by 1 Jan we are back to normality.

ImFree2doasiwant · 20/12/2020 16:27

I'm on my second bottle of Bailey's if that's any help.

InTheLongGrass · 20/12/2020 16:29

After BoJo's announcement yesterday. I've got a mountain of chocolate for my Dad that now cant get delivered to him. I've asked Mum to buy local to her when she goes shopping, and I will suffer eating mist of the rest (well, except the Ferrero Rocher, which are 🤮).
The Christmas booze got started as soon as the kids were in bed.

I,d say depends on how much food, and how many people. Their are no rules.

BalaamsAss · 20/12/2020 16:29

We started on Friday night when the school holidays began. The next two weeks off are much needed after what has been the longest term ever.

dreamingofsun · 20/12/2020 16:37

IHaveBrilloHair · 20/12/2020 16:39

Ours are in a hamper in the bedroom until I finish work on the 23rd. Christmas doesn't start until then for us.

Grellbunt · 20/12/2020 16:44

Well we are having to isolate so I’m using that as an excuse to eat snacky food!

ineedaholidaynow · 20/12/2020 16:44

We opened and pretty much finished the cheese and crackers today Blush It was meant to be a light lunch as had a late breakfast!

I'm reading MN with a coffee and a mince pie. Been having either a sherry or a Bailey's since Monday. Been wondering when is a acceptable to start on the fruit cake.
