One thing I like about FB is it shows you memories from this time last year and previous years, its what has kept me going, remembering I had a life before the restrictions and helps me focus on when this is all over and hopefully back to normal.

I am being nosey just asking if you remember where you where or what you were doing last year.

I was in Tenerife, it was my last day and we visited some penguins and spotted a mysterious couple of penguin thieves. It did make me laugh at the time.

I loaded it on to my sons old you tube account (fake name so not outing)

May make you smile too, can you share what you were doing last year too - Light hearted thread hopefully :)

VERY pregnant, and In 11 days Ill have a 1 year old! Not what I expected her first year to be like but I have loved it none the less 😊

Me and DS were living with my parents. Id bought a house but couldnt live in it as it was a bit of a wreck and needed doing up.

House is almost done, we're in and ive met DP and thats going really well too. Despite the obvious, 2020 has thrown up some nice surprises for me too

A quiet Tuesday. Id found out I was pregnant 9 days ago and my iPhone ‘on this day’ just shows the picture of the test I took - I used ICs daily until new year Blush

This IC is now a noisy 4 month old who has learned to roll and is kicking my arse in a sleep regression!

Just had a few nights in Lapland then came home and went to a Rod Stewart concert. Fantastic month for me was Dec 2019!

Thats lovely to hear, you got to spend all that time with your lovely little one, although I know it must have been hard not being able to do normal baby things and see family while they were small.

I was watching my kids band concerts and trying to juggle them all, usually the busiest week of the year for us. Also I work in a nursery so we were getting ready for their Christmas party. I miss hearing my kids play in their bands and ensembles but it's nice not to be rushing around as much.

Pootle40 · 17/12/2020 22:20

I was in Australia Sad

In a bloody awful job

Trying to make the best of it

Now in a decent job

Shitty money but happy.

Yay!

badlydrawnbear · 17/12/2020 22:21

According to Facebook, waiting in for Amazon to deliver the Christmas presents I had ordered the previous day and panicking that I hadn't written any cards and probably should start. To be honest, that's much the same as today. Did almost all my Christmas shopping online on Tuesday in a panic at how little I had done for Christmas, wrote all my cards today. Am going to work tomorrow, probably the same as last year.

Were you pressured to return or was it your choice when the pandemic hit?

@Phyzzy

I was just crawling to the end of chemotherapy for breast cancer. So in spite of all the horror of this year I am feeling so much better than a year ago.
Ahh this is helpful to give us all a bit of perspective. I hope you have a healthy and happy 2021 xx

That sounds a busy time. Do you still work in a nursery now? If so how have you found it. My DD works in a nursery and has found it OK in the main but very busy and in the beginning quite anxious.

We were about to leave to stay with family in New England. We go every other year, so luckily it was last year not this! Our Christmas this year is what we would have done anyway, maybe visited some family, but it's not a big deal as we can see them in a couple months.

Winter2019 · 17/12/2020 22:30

Pregnant, was about to give birth any day. Can't believe how fast the year has flown by and she's nearly a year old.

Sarahlou63 · 17/12/2020 22:30

Just back from Antigua. 10 days all inclusive in 5 * adult only resort. Business class flights. Now happy that a cauliflower makes enough soup to last for 3 days. Such is life.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 17/12/2020 22:34

I was very distressed with a nasty, evil partner and dreading Christmas. I told him if he didn't change it would be his last Christmas with us.
It's just the kids and me this Christmas and We couldn't be in a calmer place. I kept my word 💪🏻

Denny53 · 17/12/2020 22:36

I was packing for 2 weeks in a ‘cottage’ in Wales with all the family. All 13 of us for a fabulous Xmas in an amazing 8 bedroom house overlooking the sea. All the chores of Xmas shared between the adults, quality time with the children of the family, swimming pool, hot tub and games room, 3 acre garden, it was the best time ever. This Xmas just me and DH but we will have a brilliant time !

TeaBanditTeej · 17/12/2020 22:36

I was in Amsterdam :)

ApolloandDaphne · 17/12/2020 22:41

I was pretty much doing what I am doing this year. Finishing off uni work and sorting out Christmas stuff.

Blowingagale · 17/12/2020 22:41

I would have been in my house just getting ready to head home for Christmas. Have really lost independence this year and need to try to get it back somehow.

OneFootintheRave · 17/12/2020 22:45

I was at a concert by the Darkness at the Roundhouse in Camden Town.
