Is Frogmore Cottage haunted??

The Sussexes had a ton of work done and left, now apparently Eugenie and her husband have been in our six weeks and gone back from where they came.

Something sinister lurking do you think? Whose ghostly remains are bitter at the house being renovated??

The Duke of Windsor is buried at Frogmore. Just saying.

Yes, quite a few are. I don’t think the Duke of Windsor would make a very exciting ghost some how. He’d just lounge and smoke. Smile

Smoke? Around baby Archie? Shock

SleepingStandingUp · 15/12/2020 15:24

Surely ghost smoke isn't harmful tho

And with the best bunch of babies, they could use it as a creche with all that extra childcare

The very thought!

There's a play in this somewhere. Ghosts of old royals converge at Frogmore and give their views on the last year of events.

@GroundAlmonds

It will be interesting to see what happens re Eugenie & Jack and housing generally. Not to mention career trajectories.

Her Mum & Dad are in deep financial do-do (again), her big sister married the multi-millionaire property developer, she married a salesman.

Fergie & Andy are desperate to make sure the girls are set up well, with no funds to significantly help. Neither Bea or Euge seem likely to make their own millions.

I bet there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.

Can't Bea and Eugenie just ask their gran for more money? I had always assumed that the Queen just doles out money to various family members as needed? She has more than enough.
SleepingStandingUp · 15/12/2020 16:18

Bea shouldn't need it, but presumably will get something when Granny dies. Eugenie can get 30 free hours childcare when baby is 3 so can just find a little job around the school run

It’s never really sounded that way @JonasKahnwald - The Queen bought/gave houses/leases on houses as wedding presents to I think three of her DC and then to William and Harry.

I don’t think the other grandchildren got given houses. Zara and Peter Philips seem to have been given properties on their mother’s Gatcombe estate. Both Bea and Euge have been renting properties in palaces (with their father paying the rent) but haven’t been given properties or long leases. A tenancy is very different to a long lease. Edward’s DC are still children so they don’t need anything yet but if the pattern is followed, their parents will have to set them up.

I think Charles has been responsible for a big push to streamline the monarchy to a few people and cut the number being housed and bankrolled.

Didn't a Tsar of Russia scratch his name in one of the window panes?

I am imagining Ghosts but a royal version. With Ben Willbond as the brooding Russian one.

Same idea crossed my mind too!

nosswith · 15/12/2020 20:26

@TheCountessofFitzdotterel I cannot imagine the ghost of the Duke of Windsor (a Nazi sympathiser) being too kind to the Duchess of Sussex.

PicsInRed · 15/12/2020 21:18

I don't know about haunted, but I bet it's one of those old houses which is perpetually freezing and costs a fortune to heat to a stubborn 15°C.

Perhaps they grew tired of hugging the radiator.
