How do you make your house smell nice?

Just that really. I know that airing it lots helps, but it's winter and we have a muddy, hairy dog! Ok, so we do wash the dog and air the house every day, but I'm still conscious the house smells of dog!

So what do you do? I dislike artificial scents and I'm conscious that some scented candles are bad for humans and animals. But if I buy the natural ones, are they good? Or is there another solution?

@HaudMaDug oh that's a good idea too! And I'd forgotten about that Lenor, must add it to the shopping list!

We use wax melts, that’s for particular smells rather than just keeping the house smelling ‘nice’ if that makes sense?

I think you’re on a hiding to nothing with a dog though. Dog owners who think their house doesn’t smell are wrong and just nose blind to it. Some are worse than others to be sure!

@Joooks why would I stop when a) it works and b) I’ve 3cats and 2dogs and NEVER ever had a problem! As for the hinching fb groups please don’t presume anything about me as I have no idea what you are talking about!
Btw I did say DILUTE the zoflora with water and fabric softener!

I won’t use any plug in air fresheners due to fire hazards!
