How much did you pay for your real Xmas tree?

OP posts:
Quornflakegirl · 11/12/2020 16:34

A locally grown 7ft Nordman Fir from a local farm cost £39

ellenpartridge · 11/12/2020 16:36

£58 for a 7.5 ft non drop, delivered

TheDogsMother · 11/12/2020 16:41

£65 for 6.5ft Nordman. It comes from a Christmas tree farm where you choose the tree you want. They have little Christmassy stalls, a decorations shop and reindeer wandering about too, so its an afternoon out as well as a tree.

£52 including delivery for a 6 foot Norway Spruce grown locally to me in Sussex. Only cut down 2 days before delivery.

Red branches, deep green needles, Branches point up instead of flop down and smells absolutely amazing.

TinkersRucksack · 11/12/2020 17:00

£20 from B&Q for a five footer. Never had a bad tree from them

Dovesandkisses · 11/12/2020 17:07

£25 and the best we've ever had.

Equimum · 11/12/2020 17:10

I don’t think these bargain trees exist near us!

We paid £55 for 6.5 foot tree which we cut down at a tree farm nearby. They cost the same at the sawmills just up the road, and our neighbour paid similar at the garden centre! I don’t think we’ve ever managed to get one for less than £50.

AuntieMarys · 11/12/2020 17:14

£40 for a six foot tree from a plant centre.

MyHairNeedsASnip · 11/12/2020 17:17

£29 from the fruit shop. It's 7 foot but it's not as bushy as that one of 80's that's lovely!

Londonmummy66 · 11/12/2020 17:23

£110 - for an 11 ft Nordman fir - delivered and erected onto our stand by a man in a santa hat. It seems a lot but it is too big for us to put in the car. The firm also guarantee that if you don't like the tree they bring they will replace it with another one until you do. Never had a bad tree from them in 10 years.

MissMatchedClaws · 11/12/2020 17:28

I’m feeling severely ripped off now! £45 for a 5-6 foot Nordman fir from our local garden center

INeedADayOff · 11/12/2020 17:35

£9.99 from home bargains Xmas Grin it’s just under 6ft and perfect for the space in the kitchen. Looks really good, we have been getting one from them for 4 years and they are loads better than spending £40-60 we used to.

We have a fake 7ft one in the lounge and the kids have 4ft Pre lit ones from Tesco in their bedrooms

We love our Christmas trees 🎄

dontcallmelen · 11/12/2020 17:40

£55.00 for nordmann fir it’s about 6.5 foot picking it up on Wednesday about a tenner more than previous years, I’m in southeast london.

Dreamingofvenice · 11/12/2020 17:41

£18 for a 6 foot from our local green grocer with delivery too bargain!

IdblowJonSnow · 11/12/2020 17:58

32 pounds. She is 6 feet and very beautiful.

UntamedWisteria · 11/12/2020 18:00

£60 for a 5 foot living pot grown tree.

If I can keep it going until next year it will be worth the extra expense.

PortalooSunset · 11/12/2020 18:01

25 quid from the local garden centre. It's about 7ft. I wanted a potted one really but they only had miniscule ones left.

CatholicKidston · 11/12/2020 18:07

I got a gorgeous massive real tree from Homebase last year for £5. I waited until the 20th or something before looking and they were flogging them all!

Crunchymum · 11/12/2020 18:08

£60.

Biggest, bushiest one we've ever had.

DP usually picks an "open" one so he can judge size etc but this one was already wrapped and even he was taken aback at the size of it when we opened it Shock

mamaduckbone · 11/12/2020 20:32

£25 from local garden centre - it's a Norway spruce (I like the smell and they're cheaper)
I'd say it's a bit under 6' - perfect for our house

Lordamighty · 11/12/2020 20:35

Bought mine today, 6.6” Nordman from the local farm shop.

Osteomancer · 11/12/2020 20:37

@TheFutureIs

£19 for a 7ft Nordmann from B&Q. Reckon it was mis-priced as I was expecting at least double that!
Fucking hell, I paid £60 today for a 7ft nordman
BaublesToIt · 11/12/2020 20:48

£40 for an 8ft really wide and really dense one from a garden centre. It’s gorgeous and the house smells wonderful.

Year before last I got a reduced one from Tesco for £7.50, of a similar size and shape, about a week before Christmas as we normally put a fake one up at the beginning of Dec and get a real one closer to the day. I don’t think I’ll ever repeat that bargain Grin.

LunaLoveFood · 11/12/2020 20:49

£40 for a tree between 6&7 feet tall.

Athrawes · 11/12/2020 20:50

$10 from local ex-prisoner rehab house where they go and cut down wilding pines and sell them.
