Anyone else have a "natural" weight?

Anyone else have a weight where they can eat whatever they want and stay that weight?

If I diet I can lose weight but if I eat whatever I want - takeaway, chocolate every day, biscuits, icecream etc (within reason I guess?), I don't go above 64kg/10st??

For the record I'm not happy at 10st and like to be lighter, around half a stone lighter, in order to do that I have to diet and really watch what I eat. But it seems to be my body's natural weight. Is this a thing? Anyone else?!

10 stone is mine as well. If I get to ten stone I'm really unhappy and feel uncomfortable but I do just seem to go to there if I don't look after myself

lifebytheby · 10/12/2020 11:22

Bizarre isn't it @triceratops12 it's like our bodies are saying you've reached your maximum capacity now!

For years and years, I was 64kg. Then I discovered exercise and cooking properly. Now if I’m above 62kg I take action and I’m happiest at 60kg. I can stay there now with minimal thinking about it because I’m working out a lot.

Same here re 10st! I'd like to be in the 9s though, and I have been but I have to work at it.

Frazzlefrazle · 10/12/2020 11:28

I sit at 10 stone 10lb without any effort. I would obviously like to get to 10 stone however I just don't give a figgy at the moment to put any effort in Grin

bluetongue · 10/12/2020 11:28

Yes, when I was in my twenties. It was amazing Grin

Now I’m the opposite and only have to look at food to put on weight Sad

PurpleDaisies · 10/12/2020 11:29

I’ve just checked and 64kg is the magic 10 stone as well!
I wonder if we’re all the same height.

Trisolaris · 10/12/2020 11:30

64kg for me too is the weight my body stays at if I don’t make an effort.

Ifailed · 10/12/2020 11:36

10 st for the average height woman in the UK puts their BMI at just under 25, within the healthy range. So no wonder 10 st seems to be a 'natural' weight for many?

SufferingFromLongLockdown · 10/12/2020 11:39

My body for a long time sat at 9 stone 3 with no effort.

Now it sits around the ten stone mark, although 9 stone 5 is where I feel more comfortable it takes a tonne of effort and loads of exercise to get there.

I'm happiest at 60kg too! I feel sexy and slim at that weight.

I'm 5"6. A large size 10 I'd say.

How have I never noticed that before? Blush
unmarkedbythat · 10/12/2020 11:42

When I was younger, sure. Not any more though. if I want to maintain a healthy weight these days, I have to put effort in.

helloxhristmas · 10/12/2020 11:43

I have to work my arse off and basically not eat to be 11 stone. 12 stone seems to be my natural sitting point pretty much eat what I want when I want and don't go over it.

I look so much better at 11 but it's bloody hard work.

helloxhristmas · 10/12/2020 11:44

I'm 5ft8 1/2

Thecherryontheverytop · 10/12/2020 11:48

I'm a size 8 and I stay at 62kg no matter what I do. I work out 5 times a week and walk a lot and watch what I eat. I'm only 5'4 so 62 seems a lot but I lm slim..I tend not to go over 65 eveb when I'm a size 12! My inches seems to go up or down but not my weight

These threads are always amazing reading. I'm 5ft7 and 9 stone 11/12 so around 62 kg but need to wear a 12 most of the time. My natural weight used to be 9 stone and I'd love to be there again but now I'm pushing 10 stone.

I can with a bit of concentration get to 9 stone 7 but I never stay there for long. I get very frustrated as I think that my clothes hang better when I'm a bit lighter!!!! I'd love to know how to do this and get back to 9 stone!!

Hiccupiscal · 10/12/2020 12:14

5ft 4, and absolutely my body likes to be at around 10st mark! Im in my 30s.

In my mid 20s I was around the 9st 5 Mark

Mid 30s to get to 9 stone I have to REALLY work at it. My bodies absolute natural state is 10st - 10st 5.

I would still rather be 9st something. Few months ago got down to 9st 13.... I had honestly stopped eating anything enjoyable. It was no way to live! Lol.

Scubalubs87 · 10/12/2020 12:21

I'm exactly the same. If I'm eating whatever I want, or not exercising, I hover close to 10 stone and stick there. But I don't actually feel comfortable being that weight. I like being 9 stone but I do have to work at maintaining that weight and I'm not sure I have the inclination to work that hard at it anymore. 9st 7lbs is a good happy medium for me. I've just had my second, and probably final baby, so I'm hoping I can get back to my happy place weight soon.

Lurkingforawhile · 10/12/2020 12:24

Yep, 60kg at 5 foot 2. It's what makes me doubt the calories in / out actually works for everyone.

Changi · 10/12/2020 12:26

Me.

However, eating whatever I want doesn't mean I want to over-eat.

RayOfSunshine2013 · 10/12/2020 12:32

Yeah, about 14 stone Envy

I have to eat the healthy stuff and do the occasional exercise to stay where I like to be - around 10-11 stone

Rebelwithverysharpclaws · 10/12/2020 12:42

From age 18 - 38 I was 8st 10lb whatever I ate. Had a child at 38 and menopause at 45 and for the last 20 years my natural weight has been 11st 2lb - if I try to lose weight it works for a bit then I put it back on plus a bit more, so I settle for that weight. I am 5'5". Also if I lose weight I get a gaunt and frightened look and look much younger when I am my natural weight.

grey12 · 10/12/2020 12:44

60kg.

I did more intensive exercise and I was slimmer Grin and got slightly disappointed that the scales were still bang on 60!!

I overate badly during xmas season one year and went up to 63 Confused within a month without any kind of diet, yes, I was back to 60
