Help!!! I’ve left it a bit late but Mumsnetters I need you. Just taken delivery of a Cadbury’s hamper from my brother in Australia. I need to send something back (pretty swiftly) my sil is difficult. Just for reference last year got them hotel chocolat hampers, suitably unimpressed, Charlotte Tilbury for Sil, not fussed! Budget £100 or less. I would spend more for fortnums but idk if the kids would benefit. Please help me

It’s not 3 month backlog. My mum posted me a parcel two weeks ago and I got it on Friday. But you are too late for Xmas, I think that was probably a fluke.

Hamper from Peninsular hampers, they deliver locally and to Melbourne.
Lots of different hampers to choose from, with locally sourced content.
I like their oils and vinegars, DD the chips and cheeses.

i would buy them a melbourne zoo or aquarium pass or something similar - something fun seeings as tho most have been locked down for a really long time in Melb this year - we are in for a good summer so a day out might be a nice gift

Cant believe they were unimpressed with hotel chocolate!

Maybe they like their chocolate cheap and cheerful hence the Cadbury?

My dh would be the same 🙄

Thanks everyone, some fantastic ideas here, really appreciated. I think I will go the local hamper route. I was looking at the PJ's from Peter Alexander but idk what sizes they all are and they aren't doing physical gift cards, I just don't think email isn't the same. @Sewrainbow, I know right? I was a bit offended tbh, I will give them the benefit of the doubt maybe Charlotte Tilbury isn't popular in Australia either? Thank you all for your suggestions

A friend lives in Perth and earlier this year I arranged for a local deli to deliver a hamper - cheeses, crackers, pate, etc and a birthday cake. They were so helpful and he loved it!

hamper world

Is a local hamper place in Melbourne. Try there?

Longdistance · 13/12/2020 23:26

We’ve always sent stuff through Interhampers Australia.

Check out igift hampers- they do some lovely ones.

They are also Australia wide

Or you could take a leaf out of SILs book and say thanks but I thought we weren't doing presents any more due the post being bad, her making it clear they weren't appreciated, and Cadburys chocolate is horrible anyway.
