Can you call triage (the number should be on the front of your notes?). I guess it’s unlikely they’ll do anything tonight as you have a scan tomorrow but might be worth a call? No real words of wisdom but I had bleeds all the way up till 15 weeks and am currently trying to get that now 2 year old to go to sleep so don’t lose hope just yet

CormoranStrike · 07/12/2020 22:43

Phone your hospital for their advice and reassurance.

With my last pregnancy I bled a lot - way more than a normal period - my DD is now a happy and healthy 23 year old, so it isn’t always bad news.

Good luck.

SierraHotel · 07/12/2020 22:48

I also bled during pregnancy, my second one - dd is 10 now.
Is this your first pregnancy?

This is my (third pregnancy, one child, one miscarriage) I have had no prior bleeding this pregnancy, so as you can imagine I'm really worried, especially at 12 weeks, I ended up going to sleep early last night to try to stop the worry, I don't know whether to ring midwifes this morning or not, due to the scan being at 12.30 but really scared I have had a mmc.

Hope things go ok op

Besom · 08/12/2020 08:01

'm really sorry you are going through this it is horrible and I hope everything is OK. I've had an otherwise healthy pregnancy with regular bleeding and I've had mc and the only way to tell obviously is the scan.

TOWGA · 08/12/2020 08:06

Thank you, I suppose cause j haven't had any bleeding this pregnancy it's come as a complete shock, I have had HG, between 5-7 weeks and been on anti sickness medication since then.

Hope all is well OP. I had bleeding earlier in pregnancy and all was well. Friend bled on and off for much of her pregnancy and her baby was fine.

DinosaurOfFire · 08/12/2020 10:15

I'm sorry to hear this. I had heavy bleeding and cramps 2 days before my 12 week scan, unfortunately it was a mmc for me. It was as much bleeding as a heavy period, kept happening, and the cramps were painful rather than niggles. I'm saying this here as I found on a lot of threads I read people only posted their positive experiences and at the time I wanted to be prepared and read about both positive and negative experiences. I hope that its not a mmc for you and that everything is fine with your scan later.

TOWGA · 08/12/2020 10:29

Thanks @DinosaurOfFire I am gonna go in the thinking mmc I think then at least I'm prepared for the worst. I have had HG which is why I will a bit surprised if it is a mmc but I have had a miscarriage before at 7 weeks and I know what that was like! It's now brown blood, it's only when I wipe as well x

JJSS123 · 08/12/2020 13:15

How did it go? Been thinking of you x

TOWGA · 08/12/2020 13:46

Baby is fine, no idea why I bled, now waiting for anti d as I'm rhesus negative! Measuring ahead, 13 weeks

LividLoves · 08/12/2020 20:11

Oh brilliant news.

I had three mcs but bled in my successful pregnancy due to a cervical ectropion.

Grimbot · 08/12/2020 20:13

Oh brilliant op! My sister had 2 enormous bleeds at 9 and 11 weeks she feared the worse but the baby was fine and the rest of the pregnancy was uneventful. Congratulations what a lovely a photo.

BriocheBuns · 08/12/2020 22:14

Congratulations 💓💓💓

Montsti · 09/12/2020 05:34

That’s wonderful news!

I have 4 children and had no bleeds during my first 3 pregnancies but had a massive bleed at about 8 weeks with no.4 (I had had a scan the week before and seen the heartbeat so it was a huge shock)...I was positive that I’d miscarried but the scan showed that baby was fine. She is now 3! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Rememberallball · 09/12/2020 06:52

Glad to read all is ok. DSS partner was pregnant at the same time as me last year (our respective children as now 15 months old) and she had bleeding on and off from 11 weeks right up to around 25 weeks. The hospital put it down to a hematoma under the placenta and scanned her whenever she had heavy bleeding. Her LB was born at 37 weeks small but perfectly healthy!!
