Two of my favourites that dh can’t stand and thinks they are not worth the disc they are printed on

Scott pilgrim vs the world

Sucker punch

I love both of these films. I think they are very entertaining and I like how sucker punch literally sucker punches you at the end as it’s not an ending you would expect

But Sucker Punch IS awful!
I love Scott Pilgrim which is one of my favourite comic book movies .

Personally I love shit films. At the moment Spice World: The Spice Girls Movie is High on my list of Great Films Undeservingly Underappreciated by A Cruel Uncaring World.

Along with Hudson Hawke and Highlander 2.

Before we watch the Die Hard series at Xmas we watch;

Con Air.
Snakes on a Plane.
Escape from New York
Escape from L.A.

Judge away!

ainsisoisje · 02/12/2020 23:28

The mummy!!! Best shit film ever and on ITV pretty much every week it seems. In fact, I might have to go and watch it now....

SunshineYello · 02/12/2020 23:33

Monster in law! Think it's Jane Fonda and J-Lo. So bad it's bloody brilliant!

AnyFucker · 02/12/2020 23:37

Fight Club. Just to watch Brad Pitt.

Thelnebriati · 03/12/2020 00:00

Over board with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
Bit of a Kurt Russell theme in my list.

LoveFall · 03/12/2020 01:05

Love Actually. I confess.

PepsiArcade · 03/12/2020 01:18

I love Mamma Mia (and Mamma Mia 2!). Lots of people hate them, which I do kind of understand as they are quite ridiculous Grin.

I still love them though and have watched them many times!

grannyjacob · 03/12/2020 01:33

Lots of my favourites have already been mentioned. Another three I always enjoy watching are Waterworld, Tin Cup and The Postman, all Kevin Costner films and all slagged rotten by the critics (and friends of mine). Ok, they're not as good as Field of Dreams or The Untouchables, but they're still very watchable.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 03/12/2020 01:39

Surprised to see the live fir Live Actually in any MN thread!!

Love actually
(And another much hated on MN) Mama Mia
(Yeah it's shit, but it's feel good shit)

Julie & Julia

That's all I'm admitting to fir tonight 😂

Soubriquet · 03/12/2020 05:42

Mama Mia is my go to film when I’m down in the dumps.

It never fails to cheer me up

White chicks 🤣

MrsH497 · 03/12/2020 07:19

@NastyBlouse

Soapdish. Sally Field, Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Kline, Cathy Moriarty. It's a comedy set in the world of 90s daytime soap operas and it's very... shrill. But I love it. It's my go-to cheer-up film when I'm ill.

I also like all the Fast & Furious films. I know they're crap. But they're really well-executed crap.

Love all the fast and furious movies!
SOboredofcleaning · 03/12/2020 07:23

IHeartNiles · 03/12/2020 07:51

Miami Vice all style over substance, can watch it again and again
Independence Day
Porky’s
Carry On

Albern · 03/12/2020 07:58

I love Mall Cop, mainly I think because i used to watch it alot with my 2 sons when they were younger. Now however they scoff when I suggest watching it but I still watch when I'm feeling abit down in the dumps because it takes me back to those snuggles on the sofa during half terms !

StormBaby · 03/12/2020 08:02

@JimmyTheBrave NachoLibre is one of my absolute favourite movies.

I loved LaLa Land but I know loads of people who hated it.

SOboredofcleaning · 03/12/2020 21:33

I have to respectfully disagree.

Fight Club is not widely considered a shit film.
