Two of my favourites that dh can’t stand and thinks they are not worth the disc they are printed on

Scott pilgrim vs the world

Sucker punch

I love both of these films. I think they are very entertaining and I like how sucker punch literally sucker punches you at the end as it’s not an ending you would expect

I think you'll find Tremors is not a shit film grin

I'm with you jollygreenpea Grin

JimmyTheBrave · 02/12/2020 16:27

Nacho Libre

lazylinguist · 02/12/2020 16:37

Scott Pilgrim is definitely brilliant, not shit! I like lots of silly action//adventure/fantasy films, but so do dh and the dc. Other people might think they are shit. But then lots of other people watch awful romcoms and musicals, which I think are allshit!

foxyknoxy30 · 02/12/2020 16:39

In fact talking about my cousin Vinny am off to see if I can find it 😀 it was a film we accidentally saw in the pictures we couldn't get into the big blockbuster of the time and went by default to see this cracking wee film

nosswith · 02/12/2020 16:39

Some of Mike Leigh's films I have enjoyed but others have not. Vera Drake for example.

AurorasLighthouse · 02/12/2020 17:09

Basically every Christmas film ever!

vampirethriller · 02/12/2020 22:03

@PolarnOPirate my family don't appreciate the beauty of Dwayne Johnson and think his films are terrible. Yes, even The Scorpion King.

Tomcullenisahero · 02/12/2020 22:18

I love 80's films that my friends seem to think are shit, two examples of these are Tremors (glad to see many agree it's not shit!) and The Lost Boys. How do they not like these classics?

Almostslimjim · 02/12/2020 22:22

@Magicbabywaves

Me too!

personwifemum · 02/12/2020 22:24

Twilights, love actually, fuck it, I even quite enjoy titanic.

VicMackey · 02/12/2020 22:24

@Gingernaut

The Rock Con Air
Whaaaaat ??? Nobody in their right mind would think that those two are ‘shit’ they’re both genuine masterpieces 😂

‘I’m gunna save the fuckin’ day’

AnnaMagnani · 02/12/2020 22:29

Con Air should be shit but is so wholeheartedly bonkers that it is elevated into excellence.

The dead pool, the Clint Eastwood / Dirty Harry final film I think actually falls into the so terrible it’s brilliant category too....

PirateCatQueen · 02/12/2020 22:43

The Week Of. I think it’s absurdist genius.

Rhine · 02/12/2020 22:47

Grease 2

The Best Little Whore House in Texas, absolutely love it!

Purplecatshopaholic · 02/12/2020 22:51

Commando. Love a crap Arnie action movie. My DP bought me the directors cut version despite hating it - that’s love for ya, lol

ClinkeyMonkey · 02/12/2020 22:51

So I Married an Axe Murderer
Drop Dead Fred

Grenlei · 02/12/2020 22:56

Clueless. Just love it. It's impossible to feel sad watching it.

I also have a soft spot for Mean Girls and the Craft.

Magicians (Mitchell & Webb) is very underrated.

Lozz22 · 02/12/2020 22:59

I'm going to say all the Twilights too.

PigsInHeaven · 02/12/2020 23:02

@Oxyiz

Twister. Best film ever, no arguments.

Yes I know why its rubbish but I love it!

Twister is brilliant! It has an excellent cast and it puts large, frightening weather events on screen in big set-pieces, plus it has a twister ripping up a small town drive-in showing The Shining AND Meg and her nice dog survive — what’s not to love? Grin

Lost in Translation. I love that Scarlett Johansen’s character is vapid and navel-gazing, that nothing happens, that Bill Murray’s character sings ‘What’s So Funny ‘Bout Peace, Love and Understanding?’

Itscoldouthere · 02/12/2020 23:04

Elf, my family hate it, Infact DS threw my CD in the bin, I love it.
Also love the Amy Adams princes/Disney rip off one, can't remember what's it's called I don't like princess girly stuff at all (not keen of Frozen) but love that one.
