How many times has the app told you to isolate?

I am in a tier 3 area. Since the NHS test and trace app became a thing, I've been told 4 times to self isolate as I may have been in contact with someone who tested positive. I'm on my 4th one now. Good job I'm furloughed.

Bloody hell. No way am I activating the app. I’ve had to isolate once and almost lost my mind.

LunaLoveFood · 01/12/2020 21:54

Once so far and still can't work out where I was as I've been working from home and only doing school drop off which was socially distanced.

goose1964 · 01/12/2020 21:57

I don't have the app

letsmakethishappen · 01/12/2020 22:00

I’ve deleted the app am afraid I’ve had Covid I’ve self isolated enough

Melonportal · 01/12/2020 22:03

Never. I'm in a tier 3 area too.

theseriousmoonlight · 01/12/2020 22:03

I'm in tier 3 and have never been told to isolate.

To be fair, I'm on maternity leave, I rarely go into shops and have barely seen anyone other than my DP and my DC since March.

FirstPost99 · 01/12/2020 22:03

I have the app in a tier 3 area. Hasn't told me to isolate once

drspouse · 01/12/2020 22:04

Never!

Redshoeblueshoe · 01/12/2020 22:06

App, tier 3, never told me to isolate.

doctorhamster · 01/12/2020 22:07

Never! I'm in tier 3.

Gibble1 · 01/12/2020 22:07

Never been told to isolate.

CherryPavlova · 01/12/2020 22:08

Never but then I live in middle of nowhere and rarely carry my phone with me. Only place we’ve been away to is the Isle of Wight -tier 1, so very low incidence.

LoudBatPerson · 01/12/2020 22:08

Never.

Merriwicks · 01/12/2020 22:08

In NI, so no tier but very high numbers and never told. Don't be going many places though

addler · 01/12/2020 22:09

Never. Before the second lockdown I was at restaurants and the cinema and shops, checked in often.

satnighttakeaway · 01/12/2020 22:10

I don't the tier you're inhas any direct effect how many times you have to isolate, if you don't have close contact with anyone it won't ever tell youth isolate (assuming nu malfunctions) and people in tier 1 are still infecting each other

It's going to be determined by how you live not where you live.

cheeseslovesme · 01/12/2020 22:10

Tier 3 here. Not been told once, thankfully.

hamstersarse · 01/12/2020 22:13

The chances of coming into contact with it are quite low because not that many people have it even in ‘high risk’ areas, and especially given the circumstances (lockdown)

You aren’t going to get a notification by passing someone in a supermarket, or walking past someone on the street, to the contrary of how the paranoid folks are living their lives

Xigris · 01/12/2020 22:13

Never. But don’t go anywhere except work (covid ward mind you.....) and the school run

LubaLuca · 01/12/2020 22:16

Not once, and I'm out at work mixing with all sorts every day. My husband who works at home went out once last month (to get his car serviced, sit and wait because they're not allowing courtesy cars at the moment) and got the message a couple of days later Hmm

I want a fortnight off work staying at home! Though perhaps after Christmas would be more convenient now...

dun1urkin · 01/12/2020 22:17

Never. I’m in Tier 3 as well.

tinytemper66 · 01/12/2020 22:19

Have never downloaded the app so never.

Trumplosttheelection · 01/12/2020 22:20

I don't have it. A colleague has once. They spent 14 days perfectly healthy at home. Unsurprising because they hadn't been with two metres of anyone for long. They have now deleted the app.

KittenCalledBob · 01/12/2020 22:21

I have the app - but never. Tier 2.

underneaththeash · 01/12/2020 22:22

Never either. But we’ve never had many cases in my area (but are still going into tier 2).
