It's my pet hate list, and I own it all this morning

If I am browsing for boots on eBay. I do not want to see someone's big fat legs squashing the boots in the gallery pics. I do not want to see the inside of the boot being displayed by someone who couldn't be bothered to wash their hands first showing a big fat dirty fingernail on the boot I am looking to purchase.
It puts me off.
Similarly if I am looking at dresses on eBay, I don't want to see your fat size 16 body in a size 12 to 14 dress that I could have bought but won't now since the image of your back fat will live in my head forever.
It puts me off dear.

Seriously. I have been looking this morning and realise that it's the photos of the person selling the stuff that ruins the image of me wearing it.

if you are selling something for a woman why does there have to be a man's hand holding it, and not only that a builder's hand ??

Some people's salesmen :)

I have seen a man on that site who wears clubbing dresses. He deserves a mention and a fan club

Size 16 is the U.K. average. It's not fat.

Lucy830 · 30/11/2020 11:39

I’m size 16 ( have put on 3 stone in pregnancy), I am fat.

Size 16 is the UK average AND it's fat Signed, a size 16
Harmarsuperstar · 30/11/2020 11:40

Try and develop an imagination?
Presumably this is meant to be goady though 🤷‍♀️

UsernameN0Tavailable · 30/11/2020 11:43

Well you're delightful.

I really hope you never suffer an injury or illness that makes you a disgusting fat person OP. I'm currently a size 18 after 2 years on steroids to keep me alive and not being able to walk more than 30 metres after my leg was put back together. I was a size 10 before that.

How terrible of me to exist in the same world as you, I should probably go and kill myself so I stop offending you with my disgustingness.

OhMsBeliever · 30/11/2020 11:47

I'm a size 16 and I'm definitely fat. I know I'm fat, obese actually, and I know I need to lose weight.

Having said that, I wouldn't squeeze into my size 12 clothing to try and sell it on eBay. It will sit in my wardrobe forever while I think about how I'll fit into it again one day, but instead stuff my face full of nice food and sit on the sofa instead of eating sensibly and exercising. This time next year though..... Grin

It's the UK average because most people are fat!! 2/3rd of the UK population are overweight or obese Hmm
Lucy830 · 30/11/2020 11:48

@UsernameN0Tavailable

She’s not being mean to ‘fat people’, she’s being mean to fat people who squeeze into a dress and make it look unflattering.

Just because you’re ‘fat’ (I’m sure there are nicer words), doesn’t mean you’re bad/disgusting. Just bigger. Don’t take such offence.

Come on... You can't be that niave.

Size 16 might be the UK average but its most definitely Fat. No doubt about it. Its a very sad state of affairs that this is what the UK has come to.

mistermagpie · 30/11/2020 11:59

Size 16 is the average but it's also fat.

You're being a boy horrible OP but I slightly agree, I was looking a jewellery on eBay and the amount of people who post photos of themselves holding it who have disgusting dirty fingernails... 🤢

WitchesSpelleas · 30/11/2020 12:02

Some people buy used clothing on eBay, especially footwear, for fetish purposes and the photo of the clothes being worn is part of the attraction.

Oh yeah, there was nothing offensive in the OP at all, and I'm being sensitive for thinking otherwise. Hmm

OP you may not be fat and disgusting, but you're a truly horrible person and I know which id rather be.

TwentyViginti · 30/11/2020 12:15

I'm size 18/20 and I'm fucking fat. No delusions here.

Lucy830 · 30/11/2020 12:16

@UsernameN0Tavailable

I’m not suggesting the post was nice, it is not. But just that fat is fat. I am also fat, I have my reasons for being so, but I am still aware that I am.

I was just trying to put the point across that although not being very nice about a size 16 squeezing into a dress that’s what it is about. It wasn’t a post saying all fat people are disgusting.

Forwardingoff · 30/11/2020 12:17

Yep totally agree. I love a small gym clothes retailer, all their men’s advertising is men you would aspire to look like - toned, 6 pack. The women’s is body diverse, aka fat people in gym wear. It totally puts me off buying it, I want something to aspire to, I want to see gym wear on people who actually go to the gym and train hard, it’s inspirational.

SuperAlly · 30/11/2020 12:17

Ew. Second hand boots Envy

Tenyearsgone · 30/11/2020 12:19

Another fat shaming thread. I expect the OP sniffs lettuce leaves and is a trim size 6.

ChristmasSlayRide · 30/11/2020 12:22

Fat size 16 here. I'll fucking own it.

Be glad of the dirty thumbnail though, if their nails are dirty their house probably is too. Avoid!
