I've been in a horrid rut recently with my binge eating and feel so uncomfortably full right now.Sad I haven't been outside for five days as my depression has been awful and I can't sleep at night but sleep all day!

Really hoping to change things tomorrow, my alarm is set for 10am and I'm planning on giving my stomach a break all day so I can rest it.

I would make myself sick if I could but I'm emetophobic so that won't happen! 🤣😣

Gosh it's one of those nights, been struggling with anorexia and binge eating for almost a decade now.

My partner and I would like to try for a baby soon but he says he won't consider it until I kick the binging and prove I can be healthy.

Too much drinking :-( woke with a horrid thirst. Now having a Diet Coke and a paracetamol and hoping that when I wake for real tomorrow this will help. Your reset day sounds like a good idea. I only drink on Saturdays now to break a rubbish lockdown cycle.

Frownette · 29/11/2020 04:19

@rainatnightlove have you got any professional help? Hopefully you can start to break the cycle and try to conceive :)

Do you do it in front of partner or in secret?

I'm up feeling overwhelmed, very busy Sunday and Monday ahead. My housemate also baffled me earlier as he sent a sext, I decided to ignore it and if he mentions it say I thought it was for someone else.

Studying for my doctorate. Need to spend several hours to really get into the flow of thinking... with teenage children, this means working late into the night. But I've just had a lightbulb moment, so the late night was more than worth it. Smile

rainatnightlove · 29/11/2020 04:28

@ThatBitch I hope it helps and you wake up feeling much better , I'm really hoping the reset day works, I'm so done with this shit.😅

@Frownette Yes I've been under CAMHS for years and now the adult mental health service (I'm 21) but unfortunately not much help for eating disorders has been available. I binge in front of him which he hates (I don't blame him! Must be so unattractive).

Oh gosh! The text scenario sounds like a nightmare is he attractive or is it a 'no way' situation? Hoping you get some rest tonight.

@TrySarahTops Oh wow! Congratulations on studying for your doctorate, what an achievement. May I ask what it will be in? I often find I'm most productive at night so hopefully you'll continue to be inspired. Smile

My 8 month old wont sleep, so therefore I dont get to go to sleep.

Frownette · 29/11/2020 04:39

@rainatnightlove oh you're really young - I don't have any experience of eating cycles, hope you can put a bit more pressure on doctor and CAHMS to help with that, perhaps talk to other people who've been through it? I'm working away at the moment and did think housemate was texting a lot but assumed he was bored. Yeah he's attractive I suppose but I'm not in the market.

I'm just up now so it will be a loooong day.

@TrySarahTops well done!

BefuddledPerson · 29/11/2020 04:45

I wake up worried sometimes, my sleep has been crap since summer. I am practicing acceptance, with limited success Grin

MCR2021 · 29/11/2020 04:47

Bluewavescrashing · 29/11/2020 04:53

The cat jumped on my bladder and woke me so I needed a wee, then I had a sneezing fit. 🙄

Frownette · 29/11/2020 05:06

@HeronLanyon oh that's odd, do you know any background to it?? I guess police removed her?

Misopasta · 29/11/2020 05:10

On the weekend my mornings start at 3am/4am for work.

Temporarything · 29/11/2020 05:13

I don’t ever sleep well tbh. I woke up for the toilet then lay worrying about my Dad who has some serious health issues. On MN to distract myself.

torquewench · 29/11/2020 05:15

My cat wole me with his standing on the bedroom windowsill and shouting to be let in. He's now snoring away next to me ...

Celticdawn5 · 29/11/2020 05:16

Rarely have a good nights sleep.
Lucky to get 4 hours.
I have to get up once my thoughts slide into the dark side
Try to rationalise / accept but fail and now trying to distract myself

Celticdawn5 · 29/11/2020 05:16

Whatever time I get up the cats think it’s breakfast time

Mrsemcgregor · 29/11/2020 05:20

Night shift worker in a care home. I am so tired and could easily sleep! Only 2hr left!

HeronLanyon · 29/11/2020 05:30

frownette no idea. Central London here so stuff happens. She wasn’t neighbour and seemed drunk or disturbed by drugs/mental health issues.

Police spoke to her then let her wander off. Given she had had half a burning box and was talking about putting it through neighbours letterbox i was bit astonished by this !

AuntLucy · 29/11/2020 05:36

Pregnancy indigestion and insomnia. Dull dull dull..

HedgieHog · 29/11/2020 05:41

Needed a wee. Terrible period pains. Not had them in years, welcome to my 40s

Asantesana · 29/11/2020 05:46

Worries over work and personal issues, lonliness, feeling worthless and unloveable, physicalky and mentally exhausted, frightened - using MN as a distraction technique

MingeofDeath · 29/11/2020 05:48

Work. I start a 12 hour shift at 7am

beadsunlimited · 29/11/2020 05:50

@rainatnightlove I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with food issues; it's such a difficult thing to live with. I really hope this week, in your reset week, you feel you could speak to your GP and ask for more support with your low mood and your food stuff. I really feel for you.

Me I'm awake because I'm always awake, I woke up at 2.15am and have so far drank two cups of tea, a step walking video and now I'll watch tv until the supermarket opens. How exciting!

Hope you're okay

vodkaredbullgirl · 29/11/2020 05:51

Another night shift worker here in a care home
