Inspired by my dinner tonight.. Made a pasta bake. Love them but have them once in a blue moon because its just me so I'm eating it for 3 days after 😂

Turkish Delight. Pure decadence Grin

Pebbledashery · 27/11/2020 21:41

Sprouts belong firmly in the supermarket and not in my house!

Chips.
Lovely lovely chips.

@formerbabe

Agree lasagne is a right faff
I do a cheats lasagne. I part cook pasta, mix it with Bolognese sauce, put it in an oven proof dish and top with white sauce and grated cheese. Not as nice as the real thing but almost for much less faff
Nicklebox · 27/11/2020 22:05

Creme Caramel made for my DH for his birthday as it's his favourite

DelurkingAJ · 27/11/2020 22:11

Smoked salmon, beef Wellington, shellfish.
First two are too expensive for everyday and the last DH doesn’t like (although he has conceded on prawns after a about a decade so there is hope!).

cricketmum84 · 27/11/2020 22:12

Mushroom risotto - I'm the only one in the house who likes mushrooms and it's such a faff making risotto for one person.

Clevs · 27/11/2020 22:12

Sushi - my dad and my friend (who lives 200 miles away) are the only people I know who eat it. I sometimes treat myself to some from the Waitrose near work otherwise I'd rarely have it.

Seafood/shellfish in general - my husband will only eat prawns so I never have seafood unless we go out...which is never at the moment! I love all shellfish - mussels, squid, crab etc.

safariboot · 27/11/2020 22:14

Brown rice. It tastes nicer than white, but it takes too bloody long to cook!

speakout · 27/11/2020 22:16

Seafood- because I;m the only one that likes it.
It's a pain to cook two meals, so I end up eating what everyone else s eating.

cricketmum84 · 27/11/2020 22:17

@safariboot yes that's another one that nobody in the house will eat except me and I can't be arsed cooking two types of rice!

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 27/11/2020 22:20

Stew - DS hates it so I rarely cook it, only me and him at home. Other things I love but have rarely are:
Baked camembert
Crispy duck pancakes
Boiling bacon and colcannon
Lasagne

Blueuggboots · 27/11/2020 22:45

Bovril on toast, with real butter.....

MinnieAnonyMouse · 27/11/2020 22:50

Duck. Absolutely love it but it is expensive. With crispy skin and pink in the middle.

Paella. I haven't found anywhere in the country that makes it the way they do in Spain (not even the Spanish restaurants I've tried).

Itsnotalwaysfair · 27/11/2020 22:55

Terrys chocolate orange
Roast dinner
Fish and chips
My Mum's curry, dal and paratha

Chutneymaura · 27/11/2020 22:57

Cheese toasties with mature cheddar, bread buttered both sides. Absolute lush

AndyMurraysCat · 27/11/2020 23:00

Full English breakfast

Ltdannygreen · 27/11/2020 23:19

Lasagne because it’s so friggin time consuming to make 😩
Also paella, absolutley love Spanish food but it takes forever sometimes and I don’t have much time on my hands as it is.

Scarby9 · 27/11/2020 23:20

Prawns
