I just spent 20 minutes reading about the history of the metre.

Prompted by a question for DS asking "how do they know how long a metre is?"

Hobby horsing. A late night with pizza and wine and this is where we ended up.

It was the same night we found competitive walking:

Iron lungs and the people still living in them or have done until old age. Makes me feel really claustrophobic.

I just fell down a nearly 2 hour rabbit hole of Katie Price gossip!!

Yesterday I was researching how to make an authentic Chinese restaurant meal I don't eat takeaways . This lead me to reading about the history of Szechuan and Cantonese food.
Then I looked up Chinese restaurants in my home town and how awful and inauthentic they look especially the kids meals of nuggets and chips

Wait, chicken nuggets and chips isn't traditional Chinese cuisine??

I love reading a bit of tattle before I go to sleep.

I once was stuck down a rabbit hole for 6 hours reading about people who claim they are having a cryptic pregnancy. This is a pregnancy which doesn't show on scans or tests and because of where the pregnancy grows (yeah I'm confused too) they are pregnant for far longer. Some even believe they are having twins, it was madness.

Those Tattle threads on Johnson are most entertaining.
