I'm going to throw in 'January February' by Barbara Dickson. Cliff Richard's regular writer/producer, Alan Tarney, wrote the song and if BD hadn't recorded it, Cliff might have. Barbara did us all a favour in 1980.

Oh yes, and 'Cloudbusting' is my favourite Kate Bush song. Some happy memories associated with it.

I thought "Will You" Hazel O'Connor was 70's.

I'll add Yazz "The Only way Is Up"

Will You was recorded in 1980 and released in 1981. Fond memories of snogging to it at a friend's birthday party later that year Blush

I’m here to add to the one PP who voted for “Baby I don’t care” by Transvision Vamp

Plus:

Betty Boo “ Hey DJ I Can't Dance To That Music You're Playing” - started a complete obsession on my part about her, she was a goddess in my eyes!

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll

Marti Webb - 'Take That Look Off Your Face' Liza Minelli - 'Losing My Mind' The Nolans - 'I'm In The Mood For Dancing' - it's cheesier than Cooper's Hill, but the dancefloor fills instantly whenever it begins!

Has anybody said Charlene - 'I've Never Been To Me' yet? No? Nobody? Well, I wonder why ever not Grin

Yeah, this reminds me of our wedding day evening do. Just when I thought nobody was going to get up and dance..... I needn’t have worried 😁.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 15/11/2020 23:18

Was Wilson Phillips the 80s?

I was thinking of them too. They were pop royalty, being the daughters of members of the Beach Boys and the Mamas & Papas.

Still doesn't stop me confusing their name with that of Wilson Pickett, mind - every time....!

AngryPrincess · 16/11/2020 11:36

Hey Mickey by Toni Basil.

I think Alison Moyet gives her a very close run for her money and imo has a better voice.
wowfudge · 16/11/2020 12:39

Wilson Phillips was 1990.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 16/11/2020 13:52
