Can I start one of these? Useful for getting ideas :-)

14m old DD had

B - one weetabix with cows milk
S - 2 ritz crackers
L - picked at hummus sandwich, piece of cheese, cucumber and kiwi followed by a fruity bar
S - malt loaf
D - chilli con carne and rice followed by a coconut milk pudding thing

Other than only picking at her lunch this is a pretty good day for her.

Ds 18 months had.
Breakfast - a cup of milk and marmite on toast.
Snack- banana and a brioche roll.
Lunch - cheese sandwich.
Snack - organix puff corn and some of daddies cashew nuts.
Dinner-spaghetti bolognese
Pudding - petit filous
And some milk before bed.

meow1989 · 15/11/2020 19:01

Ds (nearly 2.5) has had:

Porridge with semi milk and defrosted frozen cherries mixed in(firm favourite) . A banana. A plum.

Half a doughnut for a snack (Sunday treat)

A sausage sandwich, he only really ate the sausage. Grapes and pineapple.

No pm snack today

Veggie lasagne which he was coerced into eating 7 forkfuls of at the promise of an ice lolly.

Not the healthiest day, but its the weekend and there was plenty of fruit (he is a fruit fiend, he always gets at least 5 a day but usually its all fruit...)

DS, 2 and a half.

Breakfast: coco pops (his Sunday treat!), blueberries, banana

Snack: a couple of oat cakes

Lunch: spaghetti bolognese, then yoghurt with honey for pudding

Snack: banana

Tea: Eggy bread, then melon and pineapple slices.

Just realised that other than the tinned tomatoes in his bolognese he hasn't had any vegetables today... Blush

Goodebe · 15/11/2020 19:43

B: scrambled egg on toast
S: mini fudge bar from celebrations tin
L: home made tomato, cheese & sausage pizza with sweet corn
S: rice cakes
D: chicken, rice and peas with tortilla wrap. Some of sisters birthday cake for pudding.

PippinStar · 15/11/2020 19:43

21mo old had:

B: shreddies and oat milk, slice of toast

S: a few raisins, some raw carrot and raw pepper; a peanut butter sandwich (1 slice bread), crackers, taste of my dark chocolate

4oz formula before nap

L: rice, tofu, corn on the cob

S: Organix oat bar

D: veggie chilli with pasta (only had a few bites)

S: shreddies and oat milk

8oz formula before bed

minnie465 · 15/11/2020 19:56

2.5 year old

B: cup of milk. Rice Krispies + a banana an hour later. He never eats when he wakens.

L: two toast with beans and some scrambled egg, yoghurt with honey, chopped up pear

S: two biscotti biscuits and a cup of milky tea.

D: 2 servings of beef stew (made in slow cooker today) with mashed potato. Ice cream and jelly. Plain yoghurt with honey, grapes, a chopped up pear, a fruit pouch.

Today was a good day! Some days it feels like he eats barely anything. I have relaxed a lot more about it now. Someone told me to look at their intake over the course of a week. He definitely gets enough when I look at it like that.
We've had to cut his snacks back so that he eats his meals.

orangejuicer · 15/11/2020 19:56

DS is two in a week and has just started being really fussy with food. He won't try anything new and it's tricky trying to get him eating 'mature' food. That being said today was:

Whole milk on waking
Bitesize shreddies
Vanilla banana biscuit
Beef stew with veg
Oaty bar
Turkey sandwich
Heinz biscuit
Bedtime milk

He isn't interested in fruit or veg. He loves bananas but they don't love him.

Trying not to fret about it all to be honest.

orangejuicer · 15/11/2020 19:57

Scratch that, he didn't have an oaty bar today, he had yogurt and 3 rice cakes.

Every day is the same!

BeHereNowx32 · 15/11/2020 20:06

Following this thread, to read later.

My DD loves snacks too much, and not really fan of meals/ veg etc. She is 20 months old. Today wasn’t really a typical day though

B- drink of milk first
dry cornflakes and a tiny bit of ready break mixed with fruit purée
S- Pom bear crisps
L- sausage, toast, beans, hash brown. ( don’t think she are much)
Drank milk to try and get her to nap. Didn’t work
S- a biscuit 🙈
D- spaghetti bolagnaise. ( didn’t eat loads but done ok)
Bedtime milk

I do usually offer more fruit and veg. But snacks is a big problem. Need to try offering healthy ones. Hopefully can get ideas from this thread!

VanceRefrigeration · 15/11/2020 20:29

Really thrilled to see so many people joining in! Good to get some ideas and for those who have talked about fussiness, difficulties etc I’m sure most of us have been there in some way or another! DD was a bloody nightmare to wean - she is happy to try anything just wouldn’t eat great quantities of it. Only started eating three square meals when she started going to nursery at 12 months old and now I worry about her eating too much! I’m sure she will have another fussy stage in the future.

Anyway, today was a VERY good day for her in terms of quantity but perhaps not the healthiest day... a lot of beige:

14m old

B - two bowls of Cheerios, half a crumpet, followed by a handful of dry Cheerios
S- a banana flavour rice wafer
L- a potato waffle, some baked beans, a whole pear and a few bites of banana
S- half a snack sized malt loaf, some raisins and a ritz cracker
D- most of her homemade tuna, sweetcorn and mushroom pizza followed by kiddilicious smoothie melts

OP posts:
Brunt0n · 15/11/2020 20:39

DD - 27 months

B - slice of wholemeal toast, banana
L- 2 crackers, cheddar, cucumber slices, slice of ham
Snack - fruit smoothie
S - salmon, mashed potato, broccoli
Dessert- Greek yoghurt

ReallySpicyCurry · 15/11/2020 20:44

Better day for us today

  • Bowl of porridge, blueberries, brioche toast
  • Chicken soup, bread, an orange and some gherkins
  • Potato salad, ham, bread, pickles, sausage roll
  • Apple crumble
RosaBaby2 · 15/11/2020 20:53

2.5 year old

2 bowls of fruit salad (melon, pineapple, satsuma, grapes, blueberries)

1 sausage and a few baked beans (ignored the the egg)

1 slice of garlic bread (ignored the pasta Bolognese)

Really struggle to get him to eat anything half decent!

20viona · 15/11/2020 20:59

16 month old
Breakfast - 1.5 scotch pancakes with butter and a pile of raspberries.
Lunch - ham and Philadelphia sandwich with baby crisps and a yoghurt
Snack - Coconut roll wafers
Tea - she wouldn't wait for toad in the hole to cook (but had no problem eating it all off my plate after her own tea!) so she had alphabet spaghetti and toast.

Wouldn't usually give her that much bread in one day but never mind.

MissAHannigan · 15/11/2020 21:03

Today DD had:

Peanut butter on toast
Veggie fingers then apple and raspberries
Chicken, Yorkie, mixed veg then banana with custard

magnarocks · 15/11/2020 21:07

3 yo, think we're moving out of toddler territory but...

B: porridge with honey
Sn: an iced biscuit

SRK16 · 15/11/2020 21:22

S- Berry pancake (out of the freezer 👌)
L- leftover chicken risotto from my dinner, carrot, peas
D- cheesey broccoli, cauliflower & asparagus pasta, more banana
S - apple courgette coconut pancake bite

I love the sheet pancake recipe from what mummy makes, so handy for snacks out of the freezer and easy to modify for different flavours.

lboogy · 15/11/2020 21:24

B - cereal , yoghurt x2, 6 strawberries, piece of cheese, 300 ml of milk. Quarter bagel
L - packet of baby crisps, 6 grapes, 3 strawberries
D - was lazy so ella's kitchen spaghetti Bol
Half yoghurt, cheese stick

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/11/2020 22:20

DS is 27 months.

Breakfast - 2 bowls of Cheerios.
Lunch - a late brunch with us: scrambled egg, a chipolata, 1/2 a cauliflower hash brown, 1 bacon medallion, a taste of black pudding and low sugar beans. Then a fromage frais
Snack - satsuma
Dinner - homemade spaghetti Bolognese (with lentils, mushrooms and carrots in it) with fusilli, then another fromage frais.
He hasn’t wanted milk as a drink for months.

NickMyLipple · 15/11/2020 22:44

DD will be 3 in March.

She's had:
Smoothie,
Marmite cheese
Soft boiled egg,
1 slice brown granary bread
Apple
Home made sausage roll with handful of crisps and carrot/cucumber
Grapes and rasperries
Chicken curry and rice
1 smartie
Fromage frais pouch

GemmeFatale · 16/11/2020 16:33

18 month old

Breakfast - crumpet (rejected), banana, satsuma and few grapes. A few bran flakes from dad’s bowl.
Lunch - cottage pie (rejected), tomatoes and cucumber sticks
Dinner - chicken and veg curry (rejected)
Emergency banana and bit of my cake (demolished)

Disheartening day. He normally eats well and has previously happily consumed everything we offered today.

mynameiscalypso · 16/11/2020 18:37

15 months (today!). Nursery day here - he's not eaten much there recently but they've learnt that if they just ignore him rather than try to feed him or encourage him to eat, he will eat of his own accord.

Milk at 5am
B (at home): Courgette pancakes, yoghurt and berries
L (at nursery): A small amount of soup (god knows why they serve soup to toddlers), baked potato with tuna and beans. Pineapple was rejected.
Snack (at nursery): Oatcakes, cheese and raisins
Tea (at home): Crumpet topped with avocado, eaten in about 3 seconds so offered (and ate) a sandwich and then a yoghurt.
Milk shortly

Brunt0n · 16/11/2020 18:42

DD 27months old

Came home and had a bagel thin pizza, cucumber slices and a petit filous
