I expect many will be pleased about this. Did he have any official status in government to begin with ?

I have an eerie feeling that this is the panem et circes that hides the no deal brexit.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/11/2020 19:53

Tbf the machinations of the Tudor court and modern government isn’t as far apart as we’d like to think.

People have always plotted and criticised women for wielding power using their feminine wiles.

laudemio · 13/11/2020 20:20

No, there will not be a no deal brexit with Bisen in town, no deal is about to get kicked firmly into the long grass. No USA deal without an EU deal, and one which respects the good Friday agreement. We are about to get BINO minus our previous voting rights.🙄

@viques

Just listening to the BBC news, commentator made the observation that there are a number of ways Cummings and his box of mugs and staplers (for stitching people up ?) could have exited number 10. but Cummings being Cummings he went for the photo op.

I hope I am not the only person having a Diary of a Nobody flashback with all the goings of Cummings?

If only he had exited No 10 balancing his prop box on the the handlebars of his bicycle.

He isn't very good at comms, unless it is a three word slogan or lies.

He’s quite adept at the press set up.

He manipulated his arrival home after his Rose Garden presser - ensured he got dropped off at the end of his street (and not at his door as usual) so the public could boo and the press could get it all on film.

Stopthebloodynotifications · 14/11/2020 10:30

What’s a BINO?

What’s a BINO?
Brexit in name only

@7Days

Who is Carrie? She is just the girlfriend isnt she, does she have an official role? It's like the Tudor Court not proper politics
She was previously the Conservative Party press officer, so I can see that her views would carry more weight than if she had no previous political experience.

Apparently she was also backed by Munira Mirza and Allegra Stratton. Given the inherent misogyny of this government, I find that rather gratifying.

MoonJelly · 14/11/2020 10:56

Just read that calling Carrie Symonds "Princess Nut-Nuts" was a major factor.

So it's OK to break the law and risk infecting other people, it's OK to brief against ministers, it's OK to put massive government contracts into the hands of your incompetent cronies, it's OK to lie and cheat. But what Boris really cares about is his girlfriend being called Princess Nut Nuts.

Stopthebloodynotifications · 14/11/2020 14:40

What, he wants her to be called Princess Nuts Nuts or he doesn’t want her to be called Princess Nuts Nuts?

nosswith · 14/11/2020 14:45

I'm not sure about the Tudor Court analogy. For a start, this Prime Minister's actions (or inactions) have led to far more deaths than anything in Henry VIIIs court.

Not sure about that one - he had a long war against France didn't he?
