Your skirting boards?

I don't think I have ever cleaned the skirting boards in this house. I have lived here for 9 years! They are darkish wood and they don't look dirty. Sometimes I hoover the top of them if they look dusty. I am a slattern obvs.

Not as often as I should. Actually sent ds7 off with a feather duster to them last weekend. He seemed to like it so I'm going to ask him to do it more often to help me out.

Once a year, whether they need it or not.

Rarely. Only if I look and think oh that looks dusty, which doesn’t happen often. Once a year max I’d say. But then I’m the same with all my housework. If something needs doing I do it, but I cannot bring myself to clean something that already looks clean. So I have no schedule.

Never! Our cleaner doesn’t either and they are a bit grim. Every so often the husband humpfhs about it and swings a duster around but to call that cleaning would be a stretch.

They are just so awkward to do and there’s so much of it and I live in a tiny house

Never. My cleaner does it on a maybe 6/8 weekly basis as part of a 'deep clean'. I do the normal cleaning that week and she will do inside cupboards and things like skirtings.

Hardly ever. Probably only when we're decorating! Might occasionally run the hoover nozzle over them if they look a but dusty but that's it.

Every time I vacuum. Though that’s not as often as it should be....

Each room, once a week. With a long reach duster and polish. The ones in the kitchen/utility get a bit more muckier than dusty (dogs) so they also get a wipe with a wet cloth/cleaner when needed.

Whenever I vacuum. I've never got why it's such a big deal. Put brush on hose, point hose in right direction, move a round a bit, job done.

I just use the dusting attachment on the hoover, once every few weeks maybe.

Vacuum once each week, wash monthly. It doesn’t take any time at all. D.C. have left home.

Twice a year, during a spring clean and again in September when I also spray with peppermint in the hope of deterring spiders. I do my bathroom weekly as they seem to get super dusty

Clean or dust? Dust, about once a week or so. Clean, never. Unless they look dirty.

Oh god, not very often. I don't really care to be honest, especially now we're not allowed anyone round our house!

Seriously-I rarely clean them, especially if they're behind a sofa or other heavy furniture. Or any furniture at all, come to that.

Lifes too short IMO! Did some cleaning/clearing up between sofa and patio door recently .Must have knelt awkwardly as my knee has been so painful for several weeks ! Just going off now!

errr that's when I'm embarrassed! I clean properly the ones in the bathroom once a week, and the kitchen maybe once a month, but other than that I only properly clean them when re-decorating. DH has the hoovering job and he hoovers the top of the skirting boards once in a while.

Deep clean 3-4 times a year .
Not a job I love by the way !!!!

Every week or two but just run over the hover on them or the mop. Mine are painted white so dirt tends to show up on them easily plus wood burn stove in loving room and soot can show.
