Ghosts is good. Task mater does include adult material but is funny. Not much on at the moment.

MrPanks · 08/11/2020 21:42

Stranger Things and Brooklyn 99 have been big hits with my nearly 12 year old DD.

PeonyandDahlia · 08/11/2020 21:45

Merlin, Once Upon a Time.
I wouldn't let a 12 year old watch Umbrella Academy - it has some quite graphic violence.

GwenCooper81 · 08/11/2020 21:45

Emily in Paris is quite risqué ( phone sex/masturbation among other stuff), my older DD loved Gossip Girl which makes me think it's quite grown up ( not seen it though).
Gilmore Girls
Stranger Things
HDM ❤️
Friends
Slightly younger but mine still enjoys..
H2o
Mako mermaids
Mallory Towers
@TerrifyingTart I'd never though of watching Friday Night Dinner with my 12 year old. Is it suitable? Maybe because it has him from the inbetweeners in it I thought it was quite rude! Maybe I'm misremembering
It tore through my 12 yo's friendship group recently - it's not too adult but there is a lot of swearing. Apart from hearing them saying 'shit on it' and 'bugger off' to each other all the time no harm was done.

Taskmaster have a bleeped version on E4 on Sundays. My 8 year old enjoys it.

Goldensunnydays81 · 08/11/2020 21:50

Ds is a bit younger but loves modern family and the fresh prince of bel air at the moment

TerrifyingTart · 09/11/2020 20:44

Spent this evening watching 3 episodes of TaskMaster. Thanks so much! She has laughed her head off!

11 (nearly 12) year old DS1 has enioyed:

Taskmaster
Ghosts
Friday Night Dinner
Fawlty Towers
Only Fools & Horses
The IT Crowd
Red Dwarf

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 09/11/2020 20:56

My 12 year old enjoyed all 72 episodes
Of Death in Paradise during lockdown. We are now watching Sherlock.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 09/11/2020 20:59

Scorpion on Netflix. My DS loved it when he was 12 and continues to go back to an episode here and there

formerbabe · 11/11/2020 08:05

Forgot to add, my dc love watching King Gary

Themadcatparade · 11/11/2020 09:26

Pretty little liars!

EscapeTheCastle · 11/11/2020 10:25

Red Dwarf on netflix

Black Books on netflix

Friday Night Dinner on netflix

Taskmaster (find the old ones on the UKTVPLAY app on your smart tv, the new series on C4, is only ok so far due to social distancing, old series v v good but quite sweary sometimes)

Alex Rider on amazon prime. I unexpectedly very impressed with this teenage James Bond style show! Worth a watch even if your kid doesn't like it!

EscapeTheCastle · 11/11/2020 10:38

The old ones are on the C4 app as well. I do like the old ones more than the current series.

theliverpoolone · 11/11/2020 10:51

IamMummy my 12 year old and I watched every episode of Death in Paradise during lockdown too (and have revisited a few of our favourites since Grin)

tootyfruitypickle · 11/11/2020 10:59

Mine loves
Stranger things
Umbrella academy
Sherlock
Friday night dinner
Queer eye

tootyfruitypickle · 11/11/2020 10:59

And taskmaster !

shartsi · 11/11/2020 11:00

Once upon a time

badger2005 · 11/11/2020 11:12

Mr Winner
The Goes Wrong Show
The Wrong Mans
Race Across the World

And another (passionate!) vote for Parks and Recreation, though some series are a bit less good than the first few.

teaandcustardcreamsx · 11/11/2020 11:29

Once upon a time
Merlin
Ackley Bridge
Fuller house

Chevron123 · 11/11/2020 12:21

Some good ideas here. Through lockdown we have worked our way through:

Merlin
Ghosts
Miranda
Brooklyn 99
Big Bang Theory (although it does have a lot of sex references once you get into later series)

Someone upthread mentioned Death in Paradise - I've just added it to my list. Great idea.

Chevron123 · 11/11/2020 12:23

And another vote for The Goes Wrong Show and Race Across the World.

Makes me wonder why I pay for Netflix as a lot of the best ones are on iplayer.

MillieMollieMandi · 11/11/2020 12:24

-Ghosts
-Just Add Magic (perhaps a little young but really watchable)

 • Locke & Key
Ormally · 11/11/2020 13:56

Another one enjoying Death in Paradise - one a night.

Also all big fans of In the Factory and Lego Masters (wish they would do another Lego Masters). For old stuff, if you like history, I found the Edwardian/Victorian Farm style series entertaining as well as educational (other eras of Farm available, also castles and pharmacies).
