Do your family wear different Xmas pjs and jumpers Every year?

No, unless new pyjamas or a jumper are needed.
I've got a couple of wintery jumpers I wear each year and then box away.

A few years ago I was on board with Christmas jumper days, funny themed things etc and then I read something about the impact and waste from it and it changed my mind completely.

I buy Christmas jumpers in the January sales when they are super cheap. Have 2 or 3 of my own.

DH won't entertain the idea of novelty clothing.

DS's school's PTA usually does a Christmas jumper sale in late November. They get loads of donations and sell out every year. Makes a small fortune in non covid years.

Ds will get new pj's every year as he outgrows them, but he wears them throughout the year so gets good wear out of them. I reuse what I have every Christmas.
I buy ds a new Christmas top every year and he will wear it quite often. I again reuse what I've already got. I will buy myself a new jumper every now and then but just add it to my collection of Christmas jumpers which I wear throughout December.

I buy new pjs but they are worn all year round.

I bought my eldest a new jumper this year as she has grown out of her old one. All previous ones have been bought from charity shops, this year is the only brand new one. I have a younger dd so she has the hand me down ones and then they go to a younger niece .

I bought myself a new Xmas jumper this year as I'm getting fat and my old one no longer fits 😂

No.

But no one in he family wear jumpers.
I find jumpers very uncomfortable, and always make me look 5 sizes bigger than I am.

I thought it was a ‘thing’ where lots wear matching pjs and jumpers with young kids.

Nope. Never has been in our house. DD is 20 now, and would cringe if we did that (and so would I)

MozzchopsThirty · 09/11/2020 13:14

Yes everyone has new pjs to open on Xmas eve so when you come down in the morning you have lovely new snuggly pjs on

Mostly the dcs have new jumpers as last years wouldn't fit
I'll probably wear the same one

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 09/11/2020 13:17

Yes when younger as they rarely fitted for more than two years, now they aren’t really keen so don’t bother. I buy winter pjs every other year but wear throughout winter rather than just the day. I pick up jumpers in the sales for the following year as I love a new one for my collection.
