In a letter to fans, Depp said he had been "asked to resign" from his role as Gellert Grindelwald and had "respected that and agreed to that request".

Good.

@Legooo

I think it makes people feel safer to believe that only completely passive and submissive people can be victims of domestic violence.

They don’t want to acknowledge that an outwardly fiery tempered, confident and even powerful woman could be worn down, trapped and emotionally/sexually/physically abused too.

Good point! A lot of this thread is tipping into victim-blaming, imo.

Fuck Amber. She was the abuser.

Hmm

Yeah, that angel Johnny did nothing at all!

Didn't any of you supporting Amber hea the released phone calls? I can't believe you're supporting her.

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 08/11/2020 12:42

And JD has no history of violence Hmm

Ketrina · 08/11/2020 12:42

It should be Amber losing her roles.

Jennygentle · 08/11/2020 12:48

Looks like the actor who plays Creedence will be losing his role, too. I’m not sure how the franchise will continue with two key roles recast.

NullcovoidNovember · 08/11/2020 12:58

Did the judge mention the tapes or are they not relevant?

It’s a shame that little shit Redmayne hasn’t been similarly dispensed with. Funny how he’s happy to take the pay check that comes from Rowling’s work at the same time as he joins the mob condemning her.

While I completely disagree with Eddie Redmayne's view about JKR's participation in the transwars, sacking him for making comments that do not incite violence and for just disagreeing JKR would be a massive over reaction and participating in cancel culture. We don't want to do that.

Johnny Depp on the other hand is odious.

LastGoldenDaysOfSummer · 08/11/2020 14:12

I think, from what I heard, that Amber was the abuser.

Eddie Redmayne would quite happily cancel JKR (and all other women). I'd not be losing any sleep if he was denied the opportunity to profit from her.

It’s awful, heard is getting trolled apparantly, and badly for the judges decision.

According to the judge, it was depp. The fact depp said it was all her is fairly much the abusers script. Based on the Evidence provided the judge said it was depp.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 08/11/2020 14:30

Trolling people is disgusting and the police should track those people down and there should be proper consequences.

On Twitter and sites like it, people shouldn't be allowed to hide behind anonymity.

LastGoldenDaysOfSummer · 08/11/2020 14:51

I think the judge was wrong. All of his exes, every single one, said he was not abusive. That's the evidence I believe. Those are the women I believe. They didn't have to speak out but they did.

Judges don't always get it right. Heard seems to be a dreadful, abusive creature.

Arielsgift · 08/11/2020 15:01

Heard seems to be a dreadful, abusive creature

Agreed. Thankfully, from what i've seen all over twitter and social media, a lot of people think the same.

I also find it funny how nobody on here will talk about her taped conversations either ...

Shaniac · 08/11/2020 15:09

Fucking sickening how people jump on johnny depp simply because he is a male and pretends that amber heard is a poor innocent battered wife who only lashed out due to her being abused.

When the tapes prove not only was she physically violent but also mentally abusive, goading him into arguments and even asking him why he was walking away from her and laughing and joking about hitting him. Shes no fucking angel. Theres so many staff testimony against her and her mentally abusive and physically violent outbursts. Shes been arrested and accused of violence against an ex partner as well. She cut off his finger. She submitted a photo of him passed out on the sofa with icecream as "proof" of his drug use. Shes a vile and evil abuser and its hideous that everyone is so happy to cover up for her simply because she has a vagina. If they were both as bad as each other everything would be equal but no. Everyone wants him to lose his job and her to keep on undeterred.

Shaniac · 08/11/2020 15:12

Heard is also accused of assaulting an ex in an airport and accused of assaulting her own sister in 2007 on a filmed show.

Bluntness100 · 08/11/2020 15:34

What people are missing is it is not about if she’s also an abuser, the fundamental proven fact is he is. She is a victim of domestic violence, now if she is also guilty of domestic abuse, then let’s see it proven. Not something based on her abusers word.

And that doesn’t include hitting him back one time when he was hitting her. No one in the right mind says if a domestic abuse violence victim hits back one time she’s an abuser and it means her own abuser is justified. No one.

I just don’t get this, we see women appalled at the thought of domestic violence, but it seems it’s only appalling if the bloke beating his wife isn’t rich, famous, or someone you like. If he is someone rich famous or someone you like, and even worse if he has a younger attractive wife, then he can crack on and beat her as far as some are concerned

I wonder if the judge who made this decision is also getting trolled.

Shaniac · 08/11/2020 15:36

Jesus christ i think bluntness100 is happy not to look up the actual court approved evidence that proves shes an abuser. Just continue to cover your ears and shout lalalala in thr face of evidence. Not his words. Actual indisputable evidence including her own words admitting multiple assaults on him and emotionaly abusing him when he tried hiding from her violence all on tape.

Bluntness100 · 08/11/2020 15:48

Eh! ReAd my post again. I didn’t dispute if she was an abuser or not, I passed no comment on my thoughts there, I said the fact remains he is, proven so, she is not, that’s simply factual. However even if she is, it does not mean he is justified in also being an abuser.

Two wrongs don’t make a right

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 08/11/2020 15:50

If a man were to have a string of wives/girlfriends but only hit one, it doesn't make it better that he only did it once. He still did it.

Just like most rapists don't rape every woman they meet. Once is enough to qualify you as a rapist.

Ketrina · 08/11/2020 16:51

LastGoldenDaysOfSummer · 08/11/2020 16:53

Good to see the tide is turning against Heard. Awful woman.

Ketrina · 08/11/2020 16:57

What are your thoughts on Johnny, who is the person this thread is about?

I think he was abused by a manipulative, sly, and calculating woman, I think he lashed out in response to her mental and physical abuse. And as people say, abusees are not perfect little victims.

Funny that you don't even mention the tapes. Have you even heard them? She was fucking awful. Belittling Johnny and laughing at him, literally tormenting him over being upset about things she had done to him.
