Do you have a song that puts you in a good mood whenever you listen to it?

Mine is Bob Marley - Three Little Birds

Keep on Movin - Five

There are others but this one is just so cheesy Grin anything I can sing along to helps take my mind off things.

I love that song. It reminds me of the days when they used to do the top 20 countdown on a Tuesday lunchtime.

We usd to sneak up to the upstairs corridor (not allowed) to listen to the charts, and I remember the four of us dancing to this in the corridor hoping that the dinner lady wouldn't come along and tell us off Smile

lynsey91 · 05/11/2020 08:06

The main one for me is Wake me up before you go go by Wham. It just makes me want to dance and sing along.

I play Wham's greatest hits a lot when doing housework

AgentCooper · 05/11/2020 08:09

You’re the Best Around - Joe Esposito
Higher Love - Steve Winwood
Badlands - Bruce Springsteen

Spidey66 · 05/11/2020 08:10

9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
5 o'clock somewhere - Alan Jackson
Dignity - Deacon Blue
Annie's Song -John Denver
Top of the World - The Carpenters
At the Zoo - Simon and Garfunkle

I am not as old as those songs would suggest I am!!!

squashyhat · 05/11/2020 08:19

Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel

LzzyHale · 05/11/2020 08:43

Life in a northern town - The Dream Academy

Also 'Love Shine A Light' by Katrina et al - absolutely cracking song. The 2020 combined Eurovision artists' version of it was just brilliant.

I have a hazy memory of that being the theme tune for a TV programme, but I can't remember which one. It's slightly annoying me!

George Benson, Give me the Night, the official music video on YouTube is guaranteed to raise a smile.
Infectious music, his lovely smile and he plays his guitar while roller skating.
I used to play Marvin Gaye’s album, What’s Going on, every morning whilst getting ready. It was a good way to start each day off. I might start that routine again...

explorerdog · 06/11/2020 22:45

ELO Mr Blue Sky also works well
