Yes with vocals by David McAlmont. Like a less cheesy I Will Survive and very affirming and uplifting, even if you haven't been dumped.

Together in Electric Dreams is my favourite. I can’t help but smile when I hear the intro.

Anoisagusaris · 04/11/2020 21:48

Acquiesce- Oasis
The Masterplan - oasis
Park life - Blur
Keep on movin - 5ive
You’re so vain - Carly Simon
Loads by the Pogues (even though some of the lyrics are quite sad)

Nikhedonia · 04/11/2020 21:49

Keep on movin - 5ive

This is brilliant. Reminds me of my youth immediately.

Yes by McAlmont & Butler.
Especially if it is on the radio!

DasPepe · 04/11/2020 21:59

@HoxtonBonnet yes! Also “Mah-til-dah” :) and a few others which are also great to sing or whistle to. They stay with you for the day, if you listed to these in the morning :)

For some reason (I think it’s memory based) the Velvet underground “I’m sticking with you” :)

BlueThistles · 04/11/2020 22:01

Bobby Brown - Two Can Play That Game

Blondie - Calling On The Telephone

Junior - Mama Used to Say

Evelyn Thomas - High Energy

Pretenders - Brass in Pocket

DasPepe · 04/11/2020 22:03

Thought of a few more - weird ones!

Whenever I hear/think of Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights I think of Noel Fielding and laugh

Also a few songs from the album “has been” from William what we, such as the cover of common people and the song about dying “you’ll have time”

Weird I know!

Joy Division Oven gloves and National Shite Day by Half Man, Half Biscuit.
Love will save the day - Whitney
Dancing with myself - Generation X
Lust for Life - Iggy Pop

@ Anoisagusaris I know two of those and second you on Frank and Walters; made all the more cheering by Young Offenders. And I’ve lived in England all my life, save for a year on mainland Europe. But I am half Irish though.

hotcrosswhat · 04/11/2020 22:58

Keep on Movin - Five

There are others but this one is just so cheesy Grin anything I can sing along to helps take my mind off things.
