..until lockdown is over. I'll miss it terribly.

What will you miss?

OP posts:
CountFosco · 03/11/2020 21:43

Same. Also, going to the bookshop.

UsernameTaken76 · 03/11/2020 21:43

Have my hair and nails done. Followed by a meal outside of my house. All things I do regularly to unwind and de stress I will miss these.

roundtable · 03/11/2020 21:48

Weightlifting. It's such a good stress release.

tigerbear · 03/11/2020 21:49

Same OP!
I’m going for my last swim at the lido near me at 9.30am tomorrow.
Devastated that it’s closing, it’s the only exercise I’ve found that got the last lockdown weight off and that I really enjoyed. I signed the petition earlier to try to keep pools open.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 03/11/2020 21:49

Swim and spin. And I plan to do both tomorrow. I will actually cry when I leave the gym tomorrow. Not even joking.

FeckArseDrinkGirls · 03/11/2020 21:49

Are you anywhere near the coast? The sea is still surprisingly warm here in Devon and it’s doing so much for my mental health.

But I’ll miss my partner. I’ve fallen head over heels after thinking I’d never meet anyone again post divorce. We’ve been together less than 6 months and I don’t think realistically we’ll be able to see each other. I might sneak a visit or two but he’s two hours drive away and I’m feeling absolutely distraught about it. I know it’s dramatic and lots of other people have much more difficult situations but I just want a nice meal, a glass of wine and a good shag and a month seems like bloody forever.

I saw my Cubs in person tonight. Fingers crossed it is only 4 weeks, it isn't the same online. They worked so well in their teams and the older ones are doing well on their leadership skills.

Going to miss watching the kids swimming lessons as well, although I moan weekly.

Not going to miss this week's crazy traffic.

EasilyDepleted · 03/11/2020 21:58

I don't swim myself but DD is a club swimmer and I will miss taking her and helping out (Covid chaperone).

For myself I will miss meeting friends.

Love51 · 03/11/2020 22:03

My pool only opened again mid September. Last swim tomorrow. Nothing else in my life will change except meet ups with people, but I've really enjoyed swimming.

purpleme12 · 03/11/2020 22:05

Well really the same thing I've missed since march - going into the office

@FeckArseDrinkGirls I’m sorry, that sounds so tough. So unfair on people who live apart :-(

peppajay · 03/11/2020 22:39

Me too. I have been trying to get a slot all week but all the slots at my local pool have gone. I had just got back into it after the summer holidays and was doing so well!

Coldbatteredpuddings · 03/11/2020 22:48

Swimming for me too. This is my first year swimming in cold water (usually only swim open water Apr - Sept). I've been loving the 9-10 degree lake water this Autumn.

DipSwimSwoosh · 03/11/2020 23:33

I am still lake swimming. Have been to an indoor pool once this year. I miss it. I also miss the dentist and the library.

nosswith · 04/11/2020 06:58

I had my last sauna yesterday evening. I will miss it and don't expect that it will restart in early December.

MinnieMountain · 04/11/2020 07:00

Swimming. I generally go 3 times a week. Nothing else compares for me for exercise.

MushMonster · 04/11/2020 07:03

The gym!
And I would love to learn to swim, but I cannot in the middle of this! Just my luck!

NoGoodPunsLeft · 04/11/2020 07:09

DD is gutted her swimming lessons have stopped again & she wanted to go family swimming one weekend too Sad

I'll miss eating out, has planned to do a Treasure Trail with us & my mum followed by lunch in a pub garden (well wrapped up obvs!).

I just hope it doesn't rain every weekend Sad

NoGoodPunsLeft · 04/11/2020 07:10

We went to the library yesterday to stock up, they still hadn't been told if they were closing or not.
LittleMissLockdown · 04/11/2020 07:12

In so sad that the pools are closing again, I sadly think many won't reopen Sad.

Im still missing talking to other parents and making friends who have children and socialising my DS alas I also doubt that will change any time soon.

ItsA1WayStreet · 04/11/2020 07:15

The lake I swim at is staying open, so will continue to enjoy my chilly dips (wet suites are for wusses!)

QueenofLouisiana · 04/11/2020 07:29

I will miss letting DS go for walks with his mates. There is a gang of 3 of them- they cannot all go out together (although they can sit in class together as part of a bubble of 300!). There’s nothing but field for miles around, so walking together kept them sane and we’d thought they could do the same again- but no.
I’ll also miss helping with club swimming, it was good to see our young athletes getting back into their sport.

user1493494961 · 04/11/2020 07:35

I thought you were going to say for the very last time due to some condition or other, just look forward to when you are able to swim again.

CMOTDibbler · 04/11/2020 07:48

Swimming. I'm still hoping to open water swim through the winter, but a month off when the temperatures are dropping will make it hard to get back in if I don't do something - so have ordered a japanese folding plunge tub (just a cheap plastic one) for the garden so I can keep my cold water adaptation. Alas, am as far from the sea as you can get, and no publicly accessible lakes locally, just the paid venues which have to close
