Mumsnetters of the world - can you send postcards please

I work in a bilingual creche with children aged 0 to 3 years old, in Brittany, France. Just like all the other children in the world we are currently on lockdown.

Our project this year is the world. Because of the lockdown the only thing (apart from play) our little ones can do is go for a walk to our post box every day which is at the bottom of the car parkSmile

I wondered if kind mumsnetters and their children would send us postcards from the towns, cities and countries where they live. We have a world map on the wall and we've received some cards from friends abroad already.

The children love to receive the cards, look at the picture and talk about who sent them.

We would be really grateful, you can write in French or English 🤣

Our address is

Le P'tit Club, 3 Rue de la Ferme de Talhouët, 56250 Saint-Nolff, France

Thanks so much

Thanks everyone, I was back to work this week. Lots of cards have arrived in my absence I'll take a photo of them for you to see tomorrow.

We go to the post box every afternoon after nap and bring the cards back to creche and then all the children and adults sit on the mat and I read out the message on the back and the children ooh and ahh over the pictures (then they squabble over who is going to hold the one they've all taken a fancy to). Then we all go en Masse to the other side of the creche to stick the new cards up and every one oohs and ahs a bit more🤣

Hi @LadyEloise thanks I'm feeling much better now but it's taken until the last week or so to get my energy back and I didn't have covid that bad.

I was just looking at our postcard wall the other day and it's fantastic. I'll take a photo and share on Monday. Our last card arrived from California last week.

The children have loved receiving the cards, they have their favourite pictures and regularly show them to their parents. It's been a brilliant success and I thank every mumsnetter who sent a card. It's really cheered us up in lockdown.

@CisMyArse please do send a card, the children really do love receiving them. They get so excited, they all sit down and pass the cards between them with their little oohs and aahs. Some have even been stashed in safe places because little people have taken a shine to the picture and want to keep it just for them.Grin

This is such a lovely thread!

I see this was started in november last year. Are you still doing it? I only live in Bournemouth, UK, so its a bit boring for them. I have an 11 month old who wont be writing the card (obviously), but ill write it for the both of us if you still want them

We are in Brittany, near the coast in Vannes. We have about 20 toddlers up to the age of 3 and probably 16 babies up to the age of 18 months. All the children love looking at the cards.

Another 10 cards arrived today, so thank you all. I've attached a photo of the children gathering round to look at them. (It's so difficult trying to take pictures of 2 year olds and not having them look at the camera. They see a lens and turn on cheesy grinsGrin)
