Mumsnetters of the world - can you send postcards please

I work in a bilingual creche with children aged 0 to 3 years old, in Brittany, France. Just like all the other children in the world we are currently on lockdown.

Our project this year is the world. Because of the lockdown the only thing (apart from play) our little ones can do is go for a walk to our post box every day which is at the bottom of the car parkSmile

I wondered if kind mumsnetters and their children would send us postcards from the towns, cities and countries where they live. We have a world map on the wall and we've received some cards from friends abroad already.

The children love to receive the cards, look at the picture and talk about who sent them.

We would be really grateful, you can write in French or English 🤣

Our address is

Le P'tit Club, 3 Rue de la Ferme de Talhouët, 56250 Saint-Nolff, France

Thanks so much

I don’t have a postcard but I have a card of the location where I am which I hope will suffice! I’m popping to the post office in the next few days, which is thankfully still open, despite lockdown, so another card will be winging its way to you Op!

I'm in London, would love to send one but not sure I'll be able to get somewhere with post cards!

I could send a Christmas card?

I’ll send one too, I’m in Australia so no idea how long a postcard will take to arrive.

Great idea OP!

Just a thought .... instead of sending a picture why don’t you put a picture here and tag senders .
I would hate you to have to pay postage !

Good idea. I didn't put a return address on mine. I don't need anything for it. I enjoyed doing it.

Would love to see your postcard wall take shape though.

Hi OP
I've put a card in the post today. I've not signed it, but have written the children a message.
It would be lively if you could update this thread of where postcards are arriving from, so we can know they've arrived
(And it'll keep this thread live too, so you might get more cards Wink

I have a massive collection of post cards, I'll dig out a blank one and write about my house in Germany, it might have a different picture on it, rather than of Germany, hope that's ok.

I've sent one Smile Let us know when you receive them please. Can't wait to hear how the children react when they see all the post.

I’m in Scotland. We have a tacky tourist shop near me. I’ll pick up a postcard if they have them next time I’m nearby x

I've just sent this on to a girlfriend in Niue so hopefully she'll add to your Pacific Island collection.

Mine from London will be in the post soon.

Lovely idea!

Just sent ours from beautiful Liverpool - hope the fact that I designed the postcard makes up for otherwise slightly dull content!

Many thanks to everyone. I'm hoping the cards posted the other day will begin to arrive on Monday. I'm so excited, my colleagues are excited, we're fighting amongst ourselves about who is going to go to the post box.Grin

I know I've said it before but this really means so much. An enormous heartfelt thank you to those of you who have done this. I can't wait to show you our wall of postcards (which currently has 4 cards)

Just ordered a card on touchnote with a picture of one of our land marks. I have written a little bit about it.
