Toilet roll standoff 😭help

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 01/11/2020 18:33

I live with 3 adults and a 14 year old.

Whenever l go to the toilet there is NEVER a toilet roll. NEVER! Plenty of tubes but never a roll.

I am the only person who ever appears to get a replacement one. Therefore l have to ask, what the rest of my family are wiping their backsides on.

There’s never even a half finished one. Just an empty one. Every . Time.

Same here. Sorry. I don’t have an answer. But. Do they use a huge amount. My so. Can get through a roll in a day. No idea what he does with it. I look like I’m panic buying when I buy loo roll as I have to buy loads

FlitterMouse · 01/11/2020 18:36

Put extra in a basket or keep your own private stash somewhere and let them get on with it.

Audreyseyebrows · 01/11/2020 18:38

Keep your own toilet roll in a secret place. They’ll soon realise!

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 01/11/2020 18:38

There’s plenty of extra ones. But no one seems capable of getting one out. Or they do and then hide it.

Issue everyone with their own individual toilet roll. No more toilet roll will be issued until they return their empty roll to you, in person. Make sure you have marked each inner tube with a different coloured felt tip pen on the inside of the cardboard tube. So you know who tube is who’s - but don’t tell them. Place all remaining toilet rolls under lock and key. Hang key around your neck.
What to see who cracks first and asks for more toilet paper.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 01/11/2020 18:39

Yeah secret place. That’s the answer!

If you really want to scare them but Izal toilet roll! That’s the stuff like greaseproof paper and tell them that they are going through too much. That would scare me! That stuff is shit (scuse the pin)Grin

Elieza · 01/11/2020 18:44

Scuse the pun.
Stupid autocorrect.

MillieVanilla · 01/11/2020 18:46

Same here
Drives me mad
Or it did until I made cupboard space fat the back behind the towels as an in case of loo roll disappearing measure

NoSquirrels · 01/11/2020 18:46

Take your own and remove it every time. Like prison...

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 01/11/2020 18:53

My secret stash is behind the bath panel, don't tell anyone.

jomaIone · 01/11/2020 18:57

Does it matter though? Like getting a toilet roll out, someone's got to do it, it's a 5 second job... Meh

lillylemons · 01/11/2020 19:01

during the first lockdown, I got annoyed with there being no loo roll in the bathroom so I give everyone their own loo roll within a day dd 13 needed a new one no idea what she does with it but she uses 1 a day now that's driving me nuts. How can anyone use 1 roll a day?

Heyahun · 01/11/2020 19:03

Just have your own stash! Take it away after you use it 😂

mumwon · 01/11/2020 19:10

leave a plastic jug beside the loo & no toilet paper except Izal - I can remember school use to have that - one of my friends use to carry tissue paper in her pocket for use!

Crinkle77 · 01/11/2020 19:13

@FlitterMouse

Put extra in a basket or keep your own private stash somewhere and let them get on with it.
Yep I was just going to suggest the same. Take your own roll with you and eventually one of them will have to get a new one.
nosswith · 01/11/2020 19:18

@mumwon I think that is the first time this century that I have seen Izal mentioned. For those unaware, imagine wiping yourself with sandpaper and you have the general idea.

Nailgirl · 01/11/2020 19:20

Easy solution. Take toilet roll to bathroom. Use. Hide in hangbag (not the used toilet roll!). On repeat until they get the message.

CassandraCross · 01/11/2020 19:20

Oh Lord that completely unabsorbent Izal toilet roll it used to say "Now please wash your hands" on it, yep no shit, Sherlock!

FairFridaythe13th · 01/11/2020 19:21

@Nailgirl

That’s exactly what I was going to say!
EdnaSilem · 01/11/2020 19:23

I remember Izal toilet 'paper' - it made excellent tracing paper if you needed some for geography homework Grin Didn't know you could still buy it! Or maybe I'm thinking of Bronco?

dadshere · 01/11/2020 19:25

Empty toilet roll tubes are made of a special material that makes them completely invisible to all but those blessed with 'ninja' vision. In my house I am the only one with this special gift.

Hide your own roll in the bathroom and only get it out before you use the bathroom.

Screamnastic · 01/11/2020 19:29

DH uses a roll per day and it does my efffing head in. I think he fashions an anti splash zone. Tit.
