I have a Sainsbury's delivery booked for this week. I have a mid week pass. I thought it was supposed to release 3 weeks at a time. so I should be able to book the next two weeks, but when I logon it only shows this week. why can I not see week 2 & 3 , please?

This is what I can see. Only this week.
But it's supposed to show 3 weeks, like photo 2, isn't it?

I wonder if it’s due to the upcoming lockdown? I don’t use sainsburys, but I’ll have a look on my Ocado account and see what’s happening on there, they were only releasing slots in short time scales ahead so maybe they’re all back to doing this again?

TheChosenTwo · 01/11/2020 11:40

Hmm, I can still book slots up until 1st December.

Badgerooney · 01/11/2020 11:41

I read the other day on Sainsbury’s you can only book a week in advance

Oblomov20 · 01/11/2020 11:43

What does your screen look like chosen?
Would you mind posting a photo?
You can book 4 weeks in advance? So, how come I can only see this week?

I can book 2 weeks in advance at the moment. I have an anytime delivery pass. Some days are blocked out at the moment though - I suspect they are rejigging driver schedules.

ShinyRuby · 01/11/2020 11:45

Morrisons was only showing the next 6 days yesterday, you couldn't click on any of them. I'm guessing that means there's just no availability due to lockdown.

Floralnomad · 01/11/2020 11:47

Tesco are still taking bookings up to the end of November on my app , I’ve got the next few weeks booked already so hopefully no problems . I can’t see why the new lockdown makes any difference , shops are still open , nobody is being told to shield and if , like myself , you are in an extremely vulnerable group you would have been shopping online all along anyway .

AldiAisleofCrap · 01/11/2020 11:51

nobody is being told to shield essential we are - only go out fir exercise.

*essentially

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 01/11/2020 11:53

Sainsbury's are letting me book 2 weeks in advance so up to and including the 15th. We've got the Anytime pass and I'm on the shielding list so maybe that has an effect?

QueenPaws · 01/11/2020 11:55

@Floralnomad I'm still shielding. Consultant told me to

Oblomov20 · 01/11/2020 11:55

I just tried Tesco just out of interest. Nothing available for the next 2 weeks. Then at a cost of £4.50 which seems a bit too much.

But back to Sainsbury's. I want to book next week, but can't. I can only see this week.

So I’ve got a shop booked for today and the rest of this weeks spaces are showing as unavailable because I think maybe they are reducing how many slots you can book in a week again, but when I looked at it on the ‘3 days at a time’ page, there are still slots I can book.

Sainsbury's certainly restricted online orders to one a week so maybe as Chosen suggests, they are doing that again.

I have only had one week view for a while.

Floralnomad · 01/11/2020 12:57

@QueenPaws but presumably that’s been the case prior to this new lockdown so you either have your shopping delivered or someone does it for you already so you are not suddenly going to be using online when you haven’t done so already . The point I was trying to make , albeit badly , was that there should not be a whole load of new people wanting online deliveries like there was in the first lockdown . Stay safe .

wizzywig · 01/11/2020 12:58

I could only book for the next 7 days, but could put through a click and collect for next week

Floralnomad · 01/11/2020 12:59

@Oblomov20 Tesco do a delivery pass for £7.99 a month and if you don’t actually use the value ( 2 shops) they refund it so it’s a good deal . I have about 6 shops a month usually so it works out to be very cost effective .

QueenPaws · 01/11/2020 13:02

@Floralnomad yeah I've used online all the way through. It does seem busier, just hoping I can still get slots and everyone doesn't go back to online again as I struggled last March (a month without being able to get a delivery)

BirdIsland · 01/11/2020 13:02

I've only been able to book a week ahead for a long time, but actually more slots open up later in the week.

I usually get a Saturday morning delivery and I book it Tuesday/Wednesday of the same week with no bother, but right now it's showing as there being no deliveries available on Saturday. They'll appear later in the week.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 01/11/2020 13:13

QueenPaws I had the same problem back in March. It took them a while to get their ecv list sorted, get more drivers and pickers and decide how to manage demand. Hopefully now they have those things in place and it won't be as bad as it was then.

Time2change2 · 01/11/2020 13:18

Tesco’s only let you book one a week which is absolutely fair. Why don’t they all do this?

Floralnomad · 01/11/2020 13:29

@Time2change2 Tesco do not only allow one slot per week , I’ve had 2 deliveries this week and did the same a couple of weeks ago .

Floralnomad · 01/11/2020 13:31

@QueenPaws same here , I couldn’t get slots because I’m ECV. not shielding but my sister did all our shopping in the last lockdown and dropped it off fortunately.
