Without a doubt "the grudge"!
The one with Sarah Michelle geller, it takes away your safe place ( under the covers). I couldn't open the garage door for weeks after watching it!!

LoseLooseLucy · 31/10/2020 14:47

Yes The Grudge! A certain scene still makes me snatch my foot or hand back under the covers if I think of it in bed in the dark 😬 xxx

Spied · 31/10/2020 14:49

70's The Omen.
The music, the era- it's chilling to me.

LazyLucille · 31/10/2020 14:50

Worst as in scariest - Sinister

Worst as in dreadful - mama

Noitjustwontdo · 31/10/2020 14:52

I mean, if you’re asking for the worst horror film I’ve ever seen I’d probably go for something like Black Sheep or Paranormal activity- absolutely dire.

If you mean the best horror film anything by Rob Zombie is good. House of 1000 corpses is amazing.

Forget me not.. American high school kids. Messed with my head
Candyman.. Only seen it once felt sorry for him!

CulturallyAppropriatedName · 31/10/2020 15:02

The wicker man.

Not the goriest, but deffo the one that got me most.

IsAWookieABear · 31/10/2020 15:06

The Japanese ring

Megzmoo · 31/10/2020 15:07

The haunting in Connecticut- 'based on true events' I slept with the light on for a month 😂

Besom · 31/10/2020 15:07

The Shining always gets me. There is something very unsettling about it and I have recurring nightmare about haunted places with lots of rooms. Halloween as well - it's often the sound/music on films that frightens me most.

Maybe omen but ‘house of a thousand corpses’ looks good 😬😬

Berserker, in a so naff it's compulsive type way. The dead zone (70's version with Christopher Walken) in a not gory but really weird and unsettling way.

Herewego83 · 31/10/2020 15:13

Cloverfield. Absolute shite and made me motion sick. I fell asleep in the cinema to escape it!

LajesticVantrashell · 31/10/2020 15:19

Rec. A Spanish zombie film. I jumped so much I actually knocked my glasses off my face.

SRK16 · 31/10/2020 16:10

Worst as in most crap? The Cabin in the Woods- AWFUL.
Scariest, the Babadook & It Follows.

letsgomaths · 31/10/2020 16:47

Scream was so crap.

MrsChicken89 · 31/10/2020 16:47

@Noitjustwontdo I came on to mention black sheep! Surprised anyone else has watched it.

MrsChicken89 · 31/10/2020 16:49

@Dustysilkflowers house of 1000 corpses is good, devils rejects is the follow up film to it.

Staffy1 · 31/10/2020 16:52

The haunting in Connecticut and the Grudge. The former is the only film that made me keep the light on all night after watching it.

elp30 · 31/10/2020 16:53

The Omen is definitely my favorite film of all time!

Amazing actors, fantastic music, good storyline...what's not to love?!

iklboogeymum · 31/10/2020 16:53

Cabin in the Woods is epic! It's basically a spoof of formulaic horror movies with a massive tongue in cheek side story.

Saucery · 31/10/2020 16:56

I loved Black Sheep! Weta Workshop (Lord Of the Rings etc) did the special effects.

Staffy1 · 31/10/2020 16:57

Also found the Ring quite unnerving.

ladymalfoy45 · 31/10/2020 16:58

Event Horizon, In the Mouth of Madness, Long Time Dead, Darkness Falls.

Crinkle77 · 31/10/2020 17:14

Poltergeist is on tonight and I found that terrifying. I'm going to go for the gentler Ghost.
