Ooh yes that's really scary AndNone, really terrifying 😳😬
Also Babadook
The Hills have Eyes (2006 version, utterly horrific)
The Exorcist ( sheesh that crucifix scene)
The Vanishing ( original Dutch version, omg terrifying,)
Ring

As you can tell I'm a horror buff!

Creep - the 2004 London Underground one. Fucking terrifying and made me wary of the tube at night on my own

A zombie one that got banned for being too violent in the 80s that I watched after being told not to. I couldn’t sleep that night, had to confess what I’d done so I could sleep with mum.

About 10 minutes after lights out my dad came back in pretending to be a zombie and I screamed, mum gave him a bollocking.

Years later we watched Sean of the dead one night and I got scared. Dh woke up to me under the duvet in the foetal position.

Sorry "house of a thousand corpses" . Terrified me so much I've even wiped the name out of my mind. Wink

Night of a thousand corpses terrified me many years ago when I enjoyed a horror movie. I couldn't take it. Even my dh who has a stronger stomach for it said it was a constant onslaught of the senses.

Eden Lake has always stayed with me too. It kicked in to a recurring nightmare of mine when I was a kid so it might have been that.

I don't do horror films anymore. Don't like the feeling.

Poltergeist is on tonight and I found that terrifying. I'm going to go for the gentler Ghost.

Also found the Ring quite unnerving.

I loved Black Sheep! Weta Workshop (Lord Of the Rings etc) did the special effects.

Worst as in most crap? The Cabin in the Woods- AWFUL.

Cabin in the Woods is epic! It's basically a spoof of formulaic horror movies with a massive tongue in cheek side story.

@Spied

70's The Omen.
The music, the era- it's chilling to me.

The Omen is definitely my favorite film of all time!

Amazing actors, fantastic music, good storyline...what's not to love?!

The haunting in Connecticut and the Grudge. The former is the only film that made me keep the light on all night after watching it.

Berserker, in a so naff it's compulsive type way. The dead zone (70's version with Christopher Walken) in a not gory but really weird and unsettling way.

The Shining always gets me. There is something very unsettling about it and I have recurring nightmare about haunted places with lots of rooms. Halloween as well - it's often the sound/music on films that frightens me most.

The haunting in Connecticut- 'based on true events' I slept with the light on for a month 😂
