What’s the biggest age gap you have between two siblings?

Lighthearted:

My youngest child is nearly an adult but I am insanely broody. I get that it is probably my body making one final bid before the menopause! But I was wondering what’s the biggest age gap between two sibling (without a sibling in between, if that makes sense). If we were to go for another child, the gap would be 18 years!!!! What I probably need is for one of my adult children to have a baby that I can dote on, but none of my children want children, and of course that would not be a reason for them to do so, I know!

22 years between friends daughter she had at Uni then the 2 boys she had at 40 and 42.

Bioprepper · 26/10/2020 16:56

15 years between me and my sister. She wasnt planned and even though my mother loves her she said she was much harder work and she really felt drained.

Oldraver · 26/10/2020 16:56

19.5 years

I would say if it's what you really want to do, go for it. Dotn let convention get in the way

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 26/10/2020 17:33

My oldest is 19 and my youngest is 3.

He is 6ft 3" and she is teeny tiny for her age, its bloody adorable watching them playing.

BarbaraofSeville · 26/10/2020 18:26

My Auntie knew someone with a 27 year age gap.

Juanbablo · 26/10/2020 18:30

A week shy of 4 years. I enjoyed that gap but also enjoyed the 28 month gap too.

Juanbablo · 26/10/2020 18:31

My Nan had an 18 year gap between my dad and his youngest sibling. My grandad had a 23 year gap between him and his youngest sister.

MrsM36 · 26/10/2020 18:36

13 years between Daughter No1 & Daughter No3, 10 years & 1 week exactly between Daughter No2 & Daughter No3 & 2 years 10 mths between Daughter No1 & Daughter No2. They are 15, 12 & 2 now. Daughter No3 was our happy surprise - not at all planned but she was definitely the missing piece of our little family puzzle.

Haworthia · 26/10/2020 18:37

10.5 years between me and my sibling. No one in between.

ThePinkGuitar · 26/10/2020 18:40

tillytoodles1 · 26/10/2020 18:41

optimisticpessimist01 · 26/10/2020 18:42

I teach a girl who is 16, nearly 17, and her parents have just had a baby. She gushes about her little sibling all the time and loves helping out, and her parents appreciate the extra hands!

tillytoodles1 · 26/10/2020 18:43

That's 31-32 years, not 3.5
