I’m making a superhero eye mask and cat claws for my 7 year olds homework..

Going to put the whole costume together tomorrow. Thank god for tap dancing uniform as we aren’t allowed to use current bought costumes Grin

Go on. Surprise me. Could you do better at showing off your adult hood

Feeding the wood burner. More of a full time job than you might expect!

Soubriquet · 17/10/2020 20:20

Ah but nothing beats the roaring fire when it’s cold.

And I love the smell of burning wood and coal so win win really

I am so glad my DCs school doesn't go in for all that shit. How the fuck does YOU sewing masks presumably whilst they are asleep help their education?!!

I am eating leftover party food in my dressing gown - party for 4 due to the rules but my brain still catered for 10 😁😁. Shit cheese pizza, chips and nuggets. Bliss.

Cleaning broken glass from the floor of the caravan after the grill door on the oven exploded . . . .

Self isolating with family watching strictly! Tested negative myself but had a T&T message and stuck at home until the 26th. Yeah!

Breathmiller · 17/10/2020 20:27

Dh just sent a video of the toilet flushing to the adult dc who live away.

supercee · 17/10/2020 20:29

Psyching myself up for a nightshift when all I want to do is remain cosy on my couch watching another Walter Presents on 4.

Going to spend some of said nightshift updating my CV and looking for other jobs.

Have spent most of the evening so far on a call with the bank setting up a bank account for my teenager. Lovely woman on the bank's side so if your name begins with M and you were nice about dd's middle name, thank you :)

Pinkstars2501 · 17/10/2020 20:38

Sat in the dark because of a sodding power cut. Wouldn't normally be too bothered but I've got a 5am alarm (on my phone if it doesn't die, no other alarm clocks) so I'm praying it comes on before morning. Powers been off since 10:30.

MrsJonesAndMe · 17/10/2020 20:38

@lucysmam look at BellaCoco on YouTube - really easy to follow

Just sitting on here - no energy for anything but as an adult, don't want to go to bed at 8 on a weekend evening either!

I haven’t sewn anything. Fuck that fit a laugh Smile

No, I got some card and cut the shape out, had her colour it in, and then attached some elastic so it fit around her head.

It was the claws which were the hardest.

Had to cut them out of cardboard, which was rubbish as it kept trying to separate, then glued it on some tin foil, fold the foil over so both sides were covered and then do this 5 more times.

@supercee I really feel for you. That is exactly what i am doing, curled up on my sofa with a hot chocolate watching a Walter Presents boxset on All 4. The Twelve, a belgian one and its very good. Sorry you cant do the same tonight (on your own sofa obviously!)

anniversarywoes · 17/10/2020 20:46

I'm re-grouting the bathroom tiles.

In the 90s I danced in fields with strangers all night, spent every weekend out with friends at gigs, the pub etc I really lived!

What happened? Grin

lucysmam · 17/10/2020 20:47

@MrsJonesAndMe thank you, I'll take a look. I'm sure it's nowhere near as hard as it feels right now!

I'm listening to a convoluted explanation about how ds is going to get 4 million coins in Minecraft.

Hmm
