iPhone/pad. Who knew you could do this! And anyone else got some useful tricks?

I’ve had iPhones and my iPad for years. Saw a clip on Facebook earlier that if you press and hold down space bar you can move the curser all over the page. WOW mind blown.
Just how many hours have I wasted deleting mistakes!

If you long press the send button in iMessage you can send the text with an ‘effect’. Not that useful but something I inadvertently discovered the other day.

That's what I was thinking. Simply tapping where you want the cursor is surely far easier?

Yes, you just touch the screen and the cursor goes there.
Also, double tapping when writing brings up the menu to select chunks of text or select all the text so you can quickly delete as much or as little as you want to.

@AllGongNoDinner just being honest that I knew that one, get back under your rock ffs!

The space bar thing is useful if you don’t click in exactly the right place.

Sometimes that is cumbersome and doesn’t work so use the space cursor if it’s being a dick and randomly highlighting things.

I did know that - from a similar thread on Mumsnet a while back. But I don't find it particularly useful!

You can screenshot just by double tapping the back of your phone if you've upgraded to ios14. Quite handy, do press and hold of multiple buttons, which 90% of the time ends up in going back to home screen (if you're like me!)

To set up, you have to:

1	Make sure your iPhone has updated to iOS14. 
2	Go to Settings > Accessibility.

3 Tap Touch.
4 Scroll to the bottom of the page, and choose Back Tap.
5 Click Double Tap > tap Screenshot.

*dont have to press and hold multiple buttons

One I learnt recently, if you hold the 0 down, you can access the temperature degree sign. 350°

I knew the space bar thing (and it’s useful when tapping the right place doesn’t seem to work, which happens a lot for some reason) but only about a month ago when DD1 told me
