Grim - boob BO

Colycola · 08/10/2020 11:43

No matter what I do or wash with and spray antiperspirant I have a weird BO smell from my cleavage.

I’ve just had a shower - washed with soap and I can smell it. Help! Am I alone in this grimness??

How are you washing? Do you use a loofah? I’d recommend exfoliating bath gloves. Very cheap and clean the body well. I’d also recommend applying a thin layer of roll on deodorant and then spraying it with body spray.

Have you got a yeast infection ? Quiet common with big boobs

Colycola · 08/10/2020 11:53

No just lathering up. Will try that and the roll on.

Yeast infection? No I don’t think so. Will google

A bit of talc under boob sorts mine out.
And my cheesy belly button Blush

Colycola · 08/10/2020 11:55

I have some red marks under there but they are not sore.

Smell coming from my cleavage.

Red marks are likely just the crease and bra marks.

QuestionableMouse · 08/10/2020 11:57

It's not coming from your belly button is it?

Colycola · 08/10/2020 11:59

No definitely not my belly button. Will pop out and pick up exfoliating glove and supplies!

It could be your bra rather than your skin now it's cooled down in temperature, I wash mine in antibacterial wash stuff.

trunumber · 08/10/2020 12:02

I assume big boobs? Maybe check your bra (does it push them together rather than separate)

Also a good soap (not shower gel) with a sponge or something similar

I now use a dab of the natura deodorant company cream in my cleavage (I'm plus size though so big everything)

Colycola · 08/10/2020 12:04

Big boobs yes! Will also look at non pushy together bras.

Talc really does help.

Cuticura mildly medicated is good. Fenjal used to sell a talc which smelt absolutely gorgeous. A good puff after baths or showers and before you put the bra on in the morning makes a massive difference for me. I also make sure I am properly properly dry - don’t laugh - but I actually give my under boob a blast with the hairdryer after the shower too.

Ideasplease322 · 08/10/2020 12:08

Lush does a powder called silky underwear. I use it for chub rub, but might help?

TheLongRider · 08/10/2020 12:11

It may well be a fungal infection. It's pretty common and won't go away on its own without treatment.

TheQueef · 08/10/2020 12:11

Curvy kate luxe bra is best for me, it separates slightly without giving pointy tits.
It also has enough padding for when I get sweaty knockers.

Blondiney · 08/10/2020 12:13

Tea tree body washes are good for this type of thing. I like this one...

Are you peri menopausal by any chance? I am small of boob and having the same issue. I wash thoroughly daily, wear a good deodorant, etc. It's definitely hormonal as it only happens at certain times of the month and I had the same issue when breastfeeding, but at no other time in my life.

Colycola · 08/10/2020 12:27

Could well be I’m 45.

Sounds like fungal infection - I'm in the big boob brigade! Doctor recommended Daktarin powder - €4 to buy. I sprinkle under boobs and cleavage, no problems since. Good luck

KatherineJaneway · 08/10/2020 13:00

Could it be be your bras themselves?

eurochick · 08/10/2020 13:35

I'm 44 and this only started in the last few months. Bloody hormones!

I'm pretty sure there's nothing fungal going on with me.

Bras are only worn once and then washed. Every few washes I chuck some of the dettol washing liquid in which helps a bit.

Mocktober · 08/10/2020 13:36

I've got massive boobs and never had this. It's almost certainly a yeast infection.

SoddingWeddings · 08/10/2020 13:49

Are you using soap or body wash?

Soap is so much better for this kind of thing.

I'm a 42G, and never had an issue, but I guess it's bound to happen at some point!
