Pretty sure I saw this house in a TV drama...

Does anyone else recognise it? I think it was a bit of a thriller or mystery type. Like Dr Foster, but not that. It’s really annoying me!

Although not sure if he sold it when it first went up for sale a few years ago

In Sherlock it was called Appledore but it’s called Swinhay House apparently.

When I saw it I definitely thought of Killing Eve, towards end of series 2 I think. She goes to dinner with her “friend” Amber that she goes to the drug addicts meets with and brother Aaron.
Not sure it’s the actual house but it’s similar.

I’ve seen all of Killing Eve but fairly positive I’ve never seen that kitchen before

There's a Black Mirror where they can view everything they see up on a screen etc - think it was that one people are thinking of.

The Inside No. 9 one was this, similar but nicer!

Was it in the third Johnny English film?

Xuli · 06/10/2020 22:39

Yes, definitely the house the guy from The Killing had in Sherlock

Bethlehem yes I thought of that episode of inside number 9 too!

The inside looks a bit like the drama on bbc where the young girl had a baby for the rich couple. It was set in Scotland, but they had a nice loch out back

Amazing house but holy crap that decor and furniture is naff (misses point of thread)

@TherapistInATabard

Whenever I do one of my fantasy house searches on right move, I actually come away quite happy that most of these multi-million houses, I would not want to live in. I think this one seems very cold and clinical

@CostaCosta

I didn’t watch that either. So far it seems like either Killing Eve or Black Mirror. Or Safe.

Yes it is. It could be really lovely though.

@CostaCosta the nest? That's what I thought

The picture of the outside reminded me of a scene with Kristen Scott Thomas. Bit of googling shows it was Chromophobia I was thinking of and Skywood House but it's very similar

I think it looks like the place where there was a party in the BBC series Clique. There was also a pool scene that looks very similar to the pool in this house.

Did the ex husband in “Gold Digger” live here?

Report
happylittlevegemites · 06/10/2020 23:26

Or some TV show (maybe a black mirror episode) where two idiots were trying to steal a painting?

Report
wonderstuff · 06/10/2020 23:28

That is a perfectly hideous house. The purple glut is awful.
